Remote control all the things!
Adds a remote control for gates, doors, turrets, elevators and generators. With automatic close timer for gates and doors.
Usable while riding dinos.

To open/close or turn on/off point the remote at the structure and hit the left mouse button.
You can now also target the door/gateframe to open/close the attached door/gate.

Works with default structures(should work with mod structures as long as they are child of their respective base class and use the default multiuse functions) and is fully stackable.

Only works on your own/your tribes structures. If tribe governance settings are set to "personal locks and pins" and a pin is set, the personal owner will be the only one able to remote control.
structures set to "admin-only" are not remote controllable.

You can disable the remote control for doors/gates, elevator, turrets, generators individually by adding the server settings at the end of this post to your GameUserSettings.ini.

Auto-Close feature:
On doors and gates you are able to use the right mouse button to open it and close it automatically after a set time. The defaul timer is set to 10 seconds, you can adjust it by pressing CTRL+MouseWheelUp and MouseWheel down. Auto-Closing will be interrupted if the door gets closed manually before it ends.

Mute Sound:
Press CTRL+M to mute/unmute the beeping sound

Engram is available at level 25 for 3 engram points.
Crafting cost: 10x Electronics, 5x Metal Ingot.

To disable individual structures add this to your GameUserSettings.ini(true=disabled, false=enabled, the example settings disable everything but the doors/gates):


- support for plants and lamps
- support for ceiling doors
- CTRL+M to mute sound
- saving timer and mute settings
- auto-close now allows to put away remote control
- enabled crosshair while riding dinos in third person

- fixed remaining glitch with tribe governance "personal lock and pin"
- new feature for gates/doors: auto-closing on timer
- easier targeting for gates/doors: you can now also target the gate/doorframe to open/close the attached door
- added functionality for elevators
- added functionality for turrets
- added functionality for generators
- lowered volume and shortened "beep" sound when activating
- added error sound
- fixed some errors with animations
- added visual response on crosshair and remote when activating
- added server settings to disable remote control for certain structures

-implemented checks to prevent unwanted access when tribe governance is set to personal pin and also admin-only doors.

@Max I'll tell you why I didn't just use the mute function... I didn't notice it in the patch notes lol. :P I'll have to give that a try at some point. Not sure how the heck I missed it, I normally always check the notes when a mod updates. Thanks :)

Did you guys ever try the mute function, it works fine, I tested it on my server. It was added on Jan 24th according to patch notes and in the description above as well, why not just use that?

Yeah that'd be handy if he can't fix the range bug. I've had to stop using my remote because my tribe mates were getting annoyed by the super loud beeping. :(

We've noticed that for some reason the 'beep' when you use this now seems to play super loudly on all other clients in visual range when in MP. It doesn't sound any louder to the person using it. Not sure when this started exactly but when we last played a couple of months ago it didn't happen.

So i did a test with 254.2 and everything seems to work fine. Previous versions of 254 had an issue with mods in general. Please make sure to update your server to the latest version!

If you pull the remote on with the new update it will crash your server
