Introduction
This guide was created with the intention of teaching players how to change their reputation with the various groups, towns, and factions of Fallout: New Vegas (and Tale of Two Wastelands) using the in-game console. It was made after I personally had a hard time finding the IDs for the Tale of Two Wastelands factions online. After finding them with the GECK, I decided to post them here.

The information found within this guide was found with the Fallout: New Vegas Wikia[fallout.wikia.com], and a lot of testing in-game and through the GECK (in other words, I did work too!).

If you see any mistakes, or would like to add something, don't hesitate to comment.

NOTICE: I haven't bothered updating this for Tale of Two Wastelands 3.0 so the information for that section may be out of date. Sorry.

Major Updates
- 4/28/2017 updated TTW reputation IDs and added an alternate solution (mods) as requested by ShinyRayquaza9.
- 10/12/2017 added a note to the bottom of the steps list to clear up any potential confusion.
Steps to Changing Reputation
Step One: Access the Console

The console can be accessed by pressing the tilde key (~) while in-game. It will not work on the main menu. The tilde key is typically located above the TAB key.

Step Two: Enter into the console "setreputation <ID> <0/1> <reputation>"
  • In the ID space, put the ID of the faction/group you wish to change your reputation with (IDs can be found in "Table of IDs" section below)

  • In the 0/1 space, put a 0 to gain infamy, or a 1 to gain fame

  • In the reputation space, put a number between 1 and 100. 1 is "Neutral", 100 is "Idolized" (or vilified, if gaining infamy), but otherwise, most factions are NOT consistent with what your reputation must be to reach the other titles (Accepted, Liked, etc.) and as such, you will need to test this for yourself. To "forget" a faction, simply make this number a 0.

For example, if I wanted to be idolized by the Legion, I would type into the console,
"setreputation 000f43dd 1 100"
and press enter.

Other commands for changing reputation include "addreputation <ID> <0/1> <reputation>", and "removereputation <ID> <0/1> <reputation>".

Step Three: Did it Work?

To test this, simply go to your Pipboy, and go to the General tab under Stats. If it worked, you should be able to see your new title among the faction.

NOTE: If you're getting mixed reputation titles (e.g. wild child) but intend to have pure a reputation title (e.g. liked) be sure reduce the appropriate reputation points: "setreputation <ID> 0 0" to remove all negative reputation, and "setreputation <ID> 1 0" to remove all positive.

The IDs Above Didn't Work / Custom Factions
In the event that the IDs above don't work, or you're trying to find the ID for a custom faction, I suggest doing as follows:

Download the GECK here[geck.bethsoft.com], then load all of your .esm and .esps. When the geck loads, view the reputation groups and their IDs by visiting the Reputation tab, under Actor Data, in the Object Window (as seen below).

Alternate Solution: Mods!
If consoles aren't your thing, click HERE[www.nexusmods.com] for the Reputation Fixer by LukeGevaerts on Nexusmods. This handy mod inserts an item into your inventory that, when worn, will allow you to manually set your faction reputation with the New Vegas factions.

If anyone like myself is playing Tale of Two Wastelands and encountering the Talon Company Merc hostility bug I don't think it can be fixed with the console.

The bug means they are set to non-hostile and just stand around doing nothing when they are supposed to be ambushing you.

I tried everything and none of the Ids for the Talon Company were working with the setrereputation command and I believe it is because the ID needs to be a ReputationID, not a FactionID, and unfortunately the Talon Company does not have a Reputation FormID in the latest TTW (I checked by loading up GECK on TTW Reputations).

Weirdly, older versions of TTW do have seem to have had a Reputation entry for Talon Company, but its gone now.

I don't think this is the cause of the bug, as it seems like a vanila FO3 bug that was never fixed, but it does mean it cannot be fixed via the console. You'll just get error messages saying the Reputation id cannot be recognised or is invalid.

Been trouble shooting for a minute here, not sure if there's anyone to help, but I'll ask anyways:
Been trying to set the Dead Horse's reputation to neutral, (accidentally no-scoped Follows-Chalk before he could talk to me but I've made so much progress in Zion in terms of discovery that I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with restarting the campaign) and the ID for them (for me anyways, I know that it's different for everybody) is 0200a926, so I type:
setreputation 0200a926 0 1
and the console spits this back at me:
Invalid reputation '0200a926' for parameter Reputation
My best guess is that the console is somehow mistaking the ID for the rep value, yet if I don't enter an actual ID it will recognize that fact, so not putting in an ID asks me to enter one, and putting one in mistakes it for a value, any advice that could be given for this? Or should I just load a pre-Zion save and start again, undoing all the location discovery and a level up?

the player is in the "don't taze me bro" faction in the game files iirc so if said faction is "at war" with another faction and you fix your rep it wont change the fact your at war with them

No matter what, even if I'm set to "idolized" by the powder gangers, they're still hostile when I fast travel to NCRCF, meaning I can't take back the prison with the quest "I Fought the Law".

Hi everyone. In case someone will still read this, I have found the solution for the Powder Ganngers, and how to make them neutral even after them becoming Vilified.

1) "setreputation <ID> 0 0" to remove all negative reputation,
and "setreputation <ID> 1 0" to remove all positive.
2) tdetect to turn off detection.
3) setav aggression 0, to all the NPC's. This means when you open the console, click with the mouse cursor on the hostile NPC (who will not attack you, thanks to the tdetect), and write setav aggression 0 for EACH hostile NPC. You can give yourself Perception 10 to find the NPCs easier, palyer.setav perception 10.
4) After you setav aggression 0 all the NPCs, type tdetect again, and return to your previous Perception. (For me I used player.modav perception -3, and my percep came back my 7).
5) Profit.

Just used this on Powder Gangers, and it works. Have fun!
