Description
so i busted my mouse hand at work so had some free time to respond to SEmodder4 who offered to help me with an update, he was able to spare his free time to crank out a dx update on my mod for you all. i tested some blocks and while they loaded for me some textures dont represent their previous version in the updated form, he said keen seems to have changed some textures and im probably going to have to redo my textures.

all that aside a big thanks to SEmodder4 for pushing a fix out for me in short order so that at least the blocks should work for you all, id like to say a fix to textures is coming soon but im typing one handed plus 2 fingers atm so, at least my time off will give me some time to catch up on what all has happened on the backend of modding SE

This project started as an attempt to make what i thought were much needed 3x3x1 corner and inverted corners to compliment unclestes armor ramps mod on my own ships. But quickly evolved into focusing on providing very specialized transition blocks between the 2 and 3 long armor ramps to allow more freedom in designing smoother hulls.

Included in this mod are as follows:

3x3x1 corner
3x3x1 inverted corner
3to2x1 corner
3to2x1 corner mirror*
3to2x1 inverted corner
3to2x1 inverted corner mirror*

angled tip slopes:
3to2x1 slope
3to2x1 slope mirror*
3to2x2 slope
3to2x2 slope mirror*
3to2x3 slope
3to2x3 slope mirror*

straight tip slopes:
2to3x1 slope
2to3x1 slope mirror*
2to3x2 slope
2to3x2 slope mirror*
2to3x3 slope
2to3x3 slope mirror*

*these blocks are asymmetrical to their similarly named blocks, they or their similar block will be automatically chosen for you if you are building in symmetry mode.

** for all blocks with slope in its name, the last digit in its ( *to*x* ) designates its width, so many variants of similar blocks it is getting difficult to keep the names short and sweet. may have to rethink my naming of blocks

***all of the above include mirroring, 3 construction stages, as well as both large and small ships counterparts with choice between light or heavy armor

should be survival ready



Current known issues:

textures will need to be redone to match pre-dx11 version of the mod but until then these should work in dx11 now

-- First off, make sure you get Uncleste's armor ramps mod, here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=328494103&searchtext=armor+ramps if havent yet because you will really want that to take advantage of my blocks, as far as the building of hulls for ships his mod is the very first you will need.

Relapse, do you have any interest in continuing to update this mod? Several of the textures are broken and just appear black now. I really loved this mod and used it on several old models I'm now trying to update. If you could find the time I'd really appreciate it, or at the very least let SEModder4 take over as was previously requested. Thanks.

6 months since SEModder made the request, thats a fair amount of time. You can just take these and merge away :)

has anyone else had issues with some of the normal/mirrored versions having a different texture? (ex: 3to2x2 angled slope having a completely different texture than it's mirrored version)

@kris220b IF your proposed block were proportional in dimensions (1x1x1, 2x2x2, etc), then you would be correct. Look at the 1st and 4th pictures in his link. This is not a symmetrical object. Picture placing another one in front of it in picture 4. The surface area of the 2 angled triangular sides are different, and their geometry and angles are different. You can't rotate it in such a way that it would mirror the original block, hence the need for a "mirrored" version. One end has 4 sides, forming a square, where the other end has 3 sides, forming a right triangle. Not sure what you mean by mirrored.
The block would be the same if mirrored along a flat plane.

You mean a version where the empty space and the filled space is inverted?
