The Desert Gambit - A Kaiserreich Submod


The Desert Gambit is a mod that aims to gradually rework the Kaiserreich Content in the Middle East, with more content for both the countries in the region, and powerful outside forces. Below is the content of the current version.

Version 1.0 The Lion Roars!


Persia:
5 key performance indicators to track your progress at modernization.
74 new focuses and reworked focuses.
Reworked the Industry Tree
Reworked the Army Tree
Reworked the Air Force Tree
Added a short path for Nationalist Iran under the leadership of Abdolhossein Teymourtash, similar to the existing Iran Rework. You can set him as the leader of Iran In Game Rules. More might be done about the political tree and gameplay of Iran at a later date.
Completely New Diplomacy Tree to build a new Faction and an Economic Sphere

Afghanistan:
Initial surface content to better represent the status of Afghanistan

Russia:
Reworked 1 focus related to diplomacy with Iran
Added an event chain to negotiate with Iran regarding the Ashgabat
Added numerous decisions to aid Iran

Germany:
Reworked 1 focus related to diplomacy with the Ottomans
Added an event chain to negotiate with the Ottomans
Added numerous decisions to aid the Ottomans

France:
Added a mission to build the Aswan High Dam
Added numerous decisions to aid Egypt, and invite them to the Phalanstère


Coming Up, roughly in the order of listing:

Afghanistan:
A new focus tree with three path under two monarchs
A new military tree
A new Industry tree


Iran:
Update the political landscape, and match the existing lore in the rework proposal.

Japan:
:Japanese Post War content, with involvement in the Middle East and Mid Asia.


Compatibility:

The mod is designed to be minimally intrusive, as I had tried to mod the content in the lightest way possible. Almost all the files, excluding the Focus Tree files, which is necessary to be replaced, are new files. Thus compatibility shouldn’t be an issue with most other kaiserreich mods that doesn’t focus on the same region. Please report bugs if you encounter any.

Language
The mod is currently available in English and Simplified Chinese.

I welcome to suggestions on gameplay and balance improvements. I also welcome ideas on how certain focus trees should be structured and the characters included.

they basically changed the in-system name of each event (something like from rus.111 to russia_events.111), so submods that still use the old names for events won't work

found the problem: Kaiserreich devs just changed a lot of key values for standardization, so it naturally messed up all the submods that haven't adapted to them

PSA: it seems like for KR1.52, this mod somehow breaks a lot of foci (if it's not just me). You will see a lot of "invalid event with id ___", which will mess up a whole lot of things, so you may want to wait till the dev makes it compatible with the new version.
(but how? how does this submod alter the realization or whatever of the foci in KR proper? I don't understand...)
