As 1936 dawns, the Weltkrieg's legacy lies heavy upon the shoulders of a new generation.

Germany stands astride the centre of the world, a power without peer, but about its feet lie enemies both old and new: France and Britain's rising syndicalist Internationale, an unbroken and resurgent Russia, the rising Japanese Empire, and even the old Entente. All the while Germany's vast reach has left it dangerously overstretched, its allies in Constantinople and Vienna have grown estranged, and across the Atlantic the American colossus falters. Seventeen years have passed since the end of the war, and few expect the new year to bring a turning point, but soon a single spark may be all it takes to light the powder keg anew...

The Kaiserreich 4 Team are proud to present the most popular alternate history mod for Hearts of Iron II, Darkest Hour, and Hearts of Iron IV! Originally conceived by Sarmatia in 2005, Kaiserreich has since developed into one of the most in-depth alternate history mods, with thousands of unique events, graphics, countries and even mechanics! Rewrite history (again), but this time in Hearts of Iron IV!

We disabled them for two reasons: 1) because the KR developers rarely come here to respond to comments, and 2) because, even when we did, there's no way for users to know we've responded. Any comments or questions are best directed either to our Discord, Twitter, or Reddit (links above), where they'll be responded to much more quickly. We support both our affiliate and wider community translation efforts across many languages. Help is always welcome for these teams, and we would be delighted to see translation projects for even more languages take shape as well.

Affiliate translation teams stay in regular contact with us and are generally able to update their work promptly whenever a new KR patch is released.
