[WotC] Twitch Integration

Description
NOTE: INSTALLING THE MOD ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH TO RUN. Check the setup instructions here!
Integrates the game with Twitch for viewer chat commands, polls, and more.

Streamlined viewer interaction
Let your viewers become part of the game without bogging you down.

  • Automatically raffle your viewers as enemies and civilians. Manually assign viewers as soldiers. Enjoy a custom UI to track who's who on the battlefield and in the Avenger.
  • Let viewers use chat commands to speak in-game, use emotes to show their mood, and more.
  • Run polls to let everyone watching influence what's going on during missions.
  • Set up channel point rewards, so viewers can turn in their channel points for in-game effects.

Highly configurable
The in-game mod options give you plenty of control, but you can do more. If you want to truly customize things for your stream, then dig into the ini files to set up custom chat commands, channel point rewards, and polls. If you're comfortable writing mods for XCOM 2, you can go even further. (If you make ini changes, follow the local mod creation guide so you don't lose your changes every time I update Twitch Integration!)

Out-of-the-box experience
Twitch Integration comes packaged with 3 chat commands: !xsay, !xemote, and !rtd. Each of them will only work for a viewer who has been assigned a unit.
  • !xsay <message> - Make a message appear in-game as though ti came from the viewer's unit.
  • !xemote <emote> - Tactical layer only. Makes the given emote appear next to the viewer's unit.
  • !rtd - Roll the Dice. Tactical layer only and disabled by default in the mod options. Spins a big wheel that has a variety of good and bad effects; one is randomly selected to happen to the viewer's unit.
On top of chat commands, the default settings will randomly start a Twitch poll periodically. Polls can be good or bad for XCOM, and chat gets to pick exactly how they turn out.

Thank you to all the folks in the XCOM 2 modding Discord for their accumulated knowledge and advice. In particular, thanks bountygiver for finding a way to make emotes load in-game.

@Delicious I never made it to the second half of the mission. Normally once the mission starts and you get close enough to that Lost pod, a mini cut scene triggers - that never happens with the mod enabled.

Same for once you get close enough to the extraction point, youre supposed to get a new HUD element that counts down how many soldiers have made it into the extraction point, that never pops up and when all 3 soldiers make it, nothing happens. No cut scene trigger or anything.

Actually I'm doing some reading and people have been reporting a similar bug (both mine and yours) with Lost and Abandoned for years. It might just be bad luck that it happened with Twitch Integration enabled and worked without it.

@Eric Stephen Just tested after your report and found an issue occurring when you approach the Purifiers in the second stage of Lost and Abandoned. Did you run into this, or only at extraction? (And which extraction?)

I'll look into it, but to be quite honest, I have no idea how my mod can cause this. As a workaround, saving and reloading and then approaching the truck again seems to unblock the mission, though you may not get the normal cutscene with the purifiers. Maybe it works similarly in other spots.

Found an issue with this mod - The first DLC mission where you escort Dragunova doesn't work properly with this mod installed. The cutscene never triggers when you make it to the extraction point.

Took a few hours to troubleshoot as I have a lot of mods installed but determined that when this mod is enabled, that mission doesnt work.

Okay, weird, closed steam, reopened steam wasn't using that port anymore, and now it works!

@Delicious got it, I'll poke around and see what it is :>

@HestiaOlympe That would mean something else on your computer is using the port 51982, which is the port used by the app. Unfortunately the port isn't configurable, so you'll need to find out what else is using that port and close it.

I checked the logs and it's saying:

System.IO.IOException: Failed to bind to address http://127.0.0.1:51982 : address already in use.

@Delicious yeah, have checked it both in mission and on avenger and it always just says "Not Connected to XCOM"
