Description
This mod (MCM) is a shared settings menu. Some mods require this mod in order for you to use the in-game configuration menus.

For full details on using this mod, troubleshooting, or even building your own mods to use this menu, visit: https://github.com/andrewgu/ModConfigMenu

NOTICE FOR PEOPLE REPORTING THAT THIS MOD IS CAUSING IN-GAME PROBLEMS:

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to report issues with MCM. It obviously sucks if the options menu, of all things, is what's breaking your game, and I'd like to get these issues addressed ASAP. However, it's next to impossible for me to test every version of every mod that also uses MCM, so I need your help as well to troubleshoot issues.

If you are seeing graphical glitches or problems transitioning between Avenger/Missions, please check two very specific details for me and let me know the result in your comment:

1. If you turn off all mods except MCM, does the problem still happen?
2. Does the problem happen only after you've visited the Options screen, only after you've visited the Mod Options screen, or regardless of whether you've visited either screen?

Because of how extensively MCM interacts with other mods and how certain UI components interact, these two details will help me a lot with pinpointing the problem.

Hey Joe, as a sanity check, does your project structure look like this: https://github.com/andrewgu/ModConfigMenu/tree/master/ModConfigDependencyTest/ModConfigDependencyTest

Also, does your XComEngine.ini look like this (ignore than the commented out ModClassOverrides): https://github.com/andrewgu/ModConfigMenu/blob/master/ModConfigDependencyTest/ModConfigDependencyTest/Config/XComEngine.ini

I am trying to use this within a mod, I read and followed the tutorial section but am obviously doing something wrong. I changed the project file, added the entries to the ini files, etc... I am getting the message during build: Error, Could not load existing package file '..\..\XComGame\Script\ModConfigMenuAPI.u'. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to start the game, enable mods, enter game, exit game, then restart for everything to take effect hiphop.

For whatever reason some other mods that are supposed to appear on the mod config menu don't. A few of the first ones I downloaded did but anything that I downloaded after that doesn't appear.

Actually, I managed to fix the issue,as well as instant crashing on game launch, by unsubbing all my mods, clearing the config document file, and resubbing all my mods a few at a time, starting with this one, community highlander, and the highlander dependent mods. Seems like the issue of Mod Settings not showing up could have been either a load order issue or a faulty install, whereas the crashing during launch issue was most certainly due to load order.

Hey Ohmu Cuddles, yes unfortunately the two versions don't play nicely with each other. I'd recommend just using the Legacy version. I managed to make it compatible with both WotC and Vanilla, and I anticipate that it'll stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Uninstalled and unsubbing to everything, then reinstalling and resubbing, worked until another steam account that also has XCOM2 was switched to. I switched back, used the AML to ensure the exact same conditions as when it worked, yet the crash resumed. Would the legacy version be screwing me over even though it's disabled in the AML?

I'm repeatedly getting an error where upon trying to launch WOTC, the game crashes in the AML; the log cites that it failed to load .ini files, namely DefaultModConfigMenuTestHarness.ini and XComModConfigMenuTestHarness.ini

Hey slctrcksfn and Anubis-Bastet, my bad, yes, the file you're looking for is modoptions.ini.

Same issue as slctrcksfn
