Xiphos Class Armored Destroyer (FPRN)

With the Launch of the Omicron Class, a vessel was needed to fill the gaps and defend the heavier Omicron from lighter, more nimble targets. Two ships were selected to fill this new class of destroyers. One, the Still-In-Development Aegis Class Destroyer. The other, the much heavier Xiphos Class Armored Destroyer. While not as nimble as its contemporaries, the Xiphos does have 2 advantages over other destroyers. Its weaponry can bring down even some light cruisers, and its armor is head and shoulders above other destroyers. While often struggling against light cruiser assets fielded by KI, the ship excels at hunting down standard destroyers. The Xiphos can often be seen escorting Omicron Cruisers along side its lighter contemporaries, bringing its impressive armor to bear on any who get in it's way.

This ship was designed for use on the Prototype PVP server! It is fairly survival friendly minus its subgrid turrets. Its armament consists of 3 quad-barreled assault custom turrets, 2 triple-barreled PDC's, 2 artillery turrets, 2 assault turrets, and 2 gatling turrets, as well as 2 static artillery. The vessel does use scripts, though they are not required for its operation. She has excellent upwards thrust, and is capable of 1g flight.
