Current Version

The galaxy is dying. Between the Polaris Mining Corporation and the Zirax mining efforts, most of the galaxy has been nearly depleted of all resources. You've crash-landed on a planet in the Orntell system, one of the neutral systems between Zirax and Polaris territory.

To survive, you must salvage the materials you need from the many junkyards strewn across the system, both planetside and in space. Use your salvaged resources to explore the Orntell system, uncover the mystery of the Ghost Ships that plague the system, and venture into the wider galaxy in search of your destiny.

Recommended for Single Player or Co-Op.
(Dedicated Server functionality is possible but not guaranteed.)

Starter Locations

Star Salvage: Reborn now provides you with three starter locations (and more on the way!):

  • Mard Orntell:
    Difficulty: Easy
    Start: Crashed Cryo Module
    Armor: None

As a passenger aboard the UES Taurus, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find yourself in the wreckage of one of the ship's Cryo Modules. The planet was once a temperate world with lakes, vast plains, and mountain ranges. However, the Zirax Empire has turned much of it into a wasteland, with junkyards scattered across the surface. The water table has been polluted with radiation, and reactor leakage from abandoned vehicles irradiates the junkyards. The Zirax use Ripper Dogs to protect the junkyards from scavengers.

  • Riada:
    Difficulty: Medium
    Start: Crashed Cryo Module
    Armor: None

As a passenger aboard the UES Leo, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find yourself in the wreckage of one of the ship's Cryo Modules. This arid planet features parched mountains, rugged savanna, and grueling plains. Shrinking lake-beds and remains of once-thriving plant and animal life are all that remain. The Zirax Empire has similarly turned this planet into a wasteland. Radiation pollutes the water table, and reactor leakage irradiates the junkyards. The Zirax use Ripper Dogs to guard their spoils. This hot, dry, and unrelenting world has a thin, unbreathable atmosphere.

  • Tohh Orbit:
    Difficulty: Hard
    Start: Derelict CryoShip
    Armor: None

A passenger aboard the UES Speedwell, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find the ship overrun by Zirax forces and towed to a Junkyard orbiting a Snow Planet. You must fend off Zirax intruders and find your way to the planet's surface.

  • Starship Graveyard:
    Difficulty: Very Hard
    Start: UES Rossignol
    Armor: None

As a passenger on board the UES Rossignol, you awaken from cryo-sleep to find that the ship has been severely damaged, with many sections exposed to the vacuum of space. The ship is in the middle of a Starship Graveyard filled with the wreckage's of many other vessels. With no planet in sight, you must survive long enough to repair one of the wreckage's and try to escape the fate of so many others.

@Pet69 Hey, sorry only had french in school but j'ai oubliée toutes les choses :-D
This sounds to me as if you have started the Explorer specialization and it asks you to find beacons. To find the beacon, go to the planet, and explore it keep pinging until you find a purple marker. Go to the marker and your quest should progress.

Hello, first many thanks for this update, it’s look like great! I’ve had a question please. I start a llocal game without problem in space with Zirax. After looking to all logs, we got a beacon card or something similar and we need to reach the planet to a specific place. After that, no more information to what we need to do. No other quest except specialization quest. Can you help me about what to do with that beacon card please ? Sorry for my bad English, I’m French.

@rhammer2 What do the logs say? You find your logfiles in this folder: Driveletter:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Logs
For me it works. Did you change anything?
rhammer2 May 23 @ 9:15pm
Creature spawning was working, then a few days ago, no more creature spawns.

@Razgaur as mentioned before it is the way it is meant to play. However, if this is game breaking for you, you can change these Settings for the planets in question yourself in the playfield.yaml of the corresponding NoCVallowed planets by changing this line:
AllowCV: False -> AllowCV: True
just saying.

@Razgaur afaik KnowItAllDM intended to increase the usability of SVs and HVs by this. Makes it more interesting to build an SV with a lot of storage etc and if you choose the Explorer profession, you can get a compressed pentaxid tank and a great special warp drive for SVs that cost no Pentaxid when warping in same solar system. I think, this is the way in which he (original scenario creator) balanced it out. But it's annoying at times, I know :-)
Razgaur May 18 @ 9:35pm
Not allowing a CV to land on a planet needs to go. It's really annoying. The CV I'm flying is not even that big its a starter ship.

@Leonqs which teasing do you mean?
Leonqs May 15 @ 11:43am
When i saw the teasing with the new poi i was so curious about the new stuff you prepared for us, but i was so surprised by how much it was added . Thanks a lot and i will enjoy a new gameplay with the new updated version .

Oh, ofc, EGroupsConfig I would just use the new npc in this file and voila. At least it's what I'm thinking.
