Description
Named Hill 400 by the Americans, this mound, deep within the Hürtgen Forest, formed a place of defence and strategy for the various skirmishes that occurred as the Battle of the Bulge unfolded. The executive decision to liberate the Hill came near the completion of a radio bunker, seated at the summit - this tower, used by the Wehrmacht could orchestrate untold control over the region. When shelling and air assault failed, infantry of the 2nd Ranger Battalion stormed the position, past half-constructed defences and trenches, mere hours away from completion. In the following four days however, defence of Hill 400 would be theirs to survive.

@Dreadbot, it's new to most of the competitive community. This was released quite a while back, but there have been some considerable balance improvements and pathfinding fixes to coincide with Operation Charlie Fox.

This is the same map as before, but smoother, farier and more balanced than ever!

MB, I'm wondering if you know why they're saying on coh2.org right now that this is a "brand new" map. I'm just confused since I've been subscribed to it since shortly after you posted it last year. (And I do like it, by the way. Just had a crazy game on here where my Panther went on a rampage killing everything in sight.)

@Brummbær, the map has just been updated with extra space within the HQ areas and changes to the bunkers! I recommend trying this map with the War Drive game mode!

The hill was probably named for being 400 (meters? feet? idk this part). There was one hill with the 30th division on it, and they managed to hold it off against 2-3 divisions by using artilery.

Great map but the US bases are a bit close to the edge of the playable area. While new units can pass by it looked like some retreating units got stuck there. Maybe you could move the bases a bit or increase the playable area around the bases.

hill 400 was a desaster . (not the map) first attacked by the canadians who where defeted by the ss later attacked (and captured) by the americans by the cost of heavy casualty.
