Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Bioferrite aims to bring several new weapons inspired by the hellcat rifle in Anomaly DLC. These weapons will have unique, triggerable abilities that consume bioferrite charges. Without adding too much bloat, this mod allows you to unlock unique, useful guns as long as you have bioferrite to sustain them.

From a short range shotgun capable of blasting your enemies with intense heat, through a battle rifle with an underbarrel flare gun, to a bolt action rifle with a long bioferrite bayonet, you will be able to really utisile this new resource in whatever way you want.

If you have Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates, you may enjoy the new Warbolter warcasket weapon, and with Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Heavy, you can enjoy the powerful heavy incinerator.

Vanilla Weapons Expanded is part of a series of mods expanding on everyday life on the Rimworld. When paired together with a brand new Vanilla Apparel Expanded and Vanilla Armours Expanded, you can bring something to your game that will keep you interested in it for days.

Q: Does this work on RimWorld 1.4?
A: No, it requires the latest game version.

Q: Do I need Anomaly DLC for this mod to work?
A: Yes, since it uses bioferrite as the resource, as well as the flamethrower VFX from Anomaly DLC.

Q: Is this mod CE compatible?
A: yes

Q: Do these weapons spawn on enemies?
A: No, these weapons will not appear on any enemies.

Q: Where do I craft those weapons?
A: Bioferrite shaper after researching the Bioferrite Weaponry research project. Constructing Warbolter however is done just like any other warcasket weapon.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yes, you can add it whenever you like, however please remember removing a mod can cause issues.

Completely agree. Description even calls it an 'ancient bolt-action rifle'

I agree! I love the bayonet rifle but it would be nice if it was available earlier

Hello, I think it would make sense to unlock the rifle with "bioferrite shaping" instead of weapons; as technically you are just strapping a small bayonet in an already existing rifle.
Saying this because once you reach bioferrite weapons you normally have a stronger arsenal at your disposal and it sounds like a weapon you would get earlier than the others.

This mod is the only reason I bought the dlc.

The rifle one is very good when you have a pawn max out in aiming expertise, no down time at all.

@VillageGuru
Bioferite long sword already the best craft able melee weapon
VillageGuru 17 okt 2024 om 16:57
I'm teeny-tiny disapointed, not even one melee weapon ?

@Oskar Potocki
I have checked the SupportedThirdPartyMods.md from CombatExtended-Continued and it seems that VWE-Bioferrite is now compatible with CE-Continued. There have been many before me who addressed this. But just in case those messages get eaten by the many other comments here is mine for the CE compatibility. Cheers!

That FAQ, I swear... "Does this work in 1.4?" for a mod that obviously requires Anomaly.
