This is the first Mod i started working on so the art is dated since im releasing it 3 years after i started working on it!

Barbarians Mod brings a new faction and a new way of life for the player!
Recommended you start as a tribal and research barbs.

Have you ever thought crafting is for slaves and the weak, boy do i have a mod for you!
In Barbs you fight and kill your enemies from Medieval overhaul, Loot their gear and turn it into Barbarian gear with skulls, an entire outfitted pawn can take up to 18 skulls to complete!

7 armours, 2 under armours, and one tribal outfit.
14 weapons with one very kool spinning throwing axe.
Shields and banners.
A custom upgrade system.
AND one new animal the northern horse.

So loot and dismember to your hearts content! Then maybe feel bad when you look at all the deaths it took to make your war gear you monsters!



Currently you can join the discord an look at the game we are trying to make! and hangout, but most importantly POST BUGS WITH LOGS, if you dont you will be mocked.

Is it compatible with CE?
Ask CE! they update mods on their end

Can it be added or removed from a save?
Added? yes it should be fine, removed you may need to do some things to remove any mod safely.

Does it need MO to work?
Yes, for now

skulls become apart of vanilla in 1.5 but apparently not in 1.4, so you will need the DLC ideology for now if your using 1.4
however evileyes is updating it so bones can be used instead on 1,4

You can fix the insulation values in notepad too. Now my upgrades aren't downgrades lmao

for all who want to reduce the number of helmets in raids here is the solution:
go to steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3216459199\1.5\Defs\ThingDefs_Armor
and in the Helmets...xml files in the ThingDef tag add <generateAllowChance>0.1</generateAllowChance>

@pphhyy Hello. As much as I like this mod. Can you please lessen the Bone Helm II spawning rate on every factions?

It keeps spawning on every faction whether it's a raid/invade/crossing/etc. That makes the other headgear appear less instead of having pawns with different helms or masks. It even spawn on the new VFE - Medieval 2 factions.

Why is the armor so heavy? 15kg for a helmet seems way too much since pawns can only carry 35kg anyway.

Hey, im either missing something, or ive run into a bug. I cant seem to craft the spiked helmet at the barbarian armor workbench (in the helmets showcase its the middle one) do i have to research something other then the barbarians research to unlock that helm?
