Description
Short Description
You take the role of commander of an AFV-4 Gorgon. Lead your squad through the insurgent held valley and secure the objectives. Use the armament of the Infantry Fighting Vehicle to eliminate enemy threats. Command the dismounted troops to secure inaccessible terrain or buildings, where the IFV can not operate.

Ingame Briefing
Situation
AAF is launching a counter insurgency operation, codename “Myrmidon”, to reclaim a valley in the north east of Altis. Your mechanized squad, Alpha 1-1, has been assigned to secure five key objectives in the valley near the village of Nidasos. The enemy consists of a well-organized company of FIA insurgents in suspected section strength. They have taken positions in gatherings of buildings. Reinforcements may hide close by in the forest. Our mission is to neutralize their presence, secure the objectives, and restore stability to the region.
Friendly forces are deployed in the Assembly Area west of Molos in platoon strength.


Mission
Neutralize the enemy presence and seize the designated objectives!


Execution
1. Stage the assault in the Assembly Area
2. Head to the Line of Departure
3. Take the five Objectives Alpha to Echo
4. Continue to the Limit of Advance and hold your position

Olymp - Headquarters
Alpha 1-1 - Mechanized squad (your squad)
Alpha 1-2 - Infantry squad to the right
Alpha 1-3 - Infantry squad headed north

Author’s Notes
The AI will only follow the get in order after you tell the driver to hold via command menu.
If you ordered the squad to get in, the driver won’t follow move commands. He will try to wait for everyone to get in.
Squad leading is not too difficult. It is best to use the dismounted squad to flank enemy positions or take out enemy AT. It’s best to set them to combat mode after dismounting.
The gunner can be commanded to target an enemy by pressing “T” (default) whilst aiming at the enemy.
Sometimes the legs of friendly AI get broken. Just tell them to treat themself or order the medic to do so. Select the unit and press 6 (Action Menu).
The dismounted squad is already assigned team Red, selectable by pressing Ctrl+F1. You can of course change that.
You can command the gunner to watch a position by holding the Alt key. This also works on the map. It reduces the time it takes the gunner to rotate his cannon, if you expect targets in the area.
