Theater of War General (12 Dec 2015) / Achievement Wins
By Siu-King**
I'm currently ranked #1 in 3v3, top 20 in 2v2s. I have seen many players think that Theater of War on General Difficulty being nearly impossible, or some achievements too tricky to get. In this guide, I will give you some tips to win these easily; the key is mainly smart choice of commanders and units; and a solid strategy. Most importantly I will redo these in my videos. Currently I am showing the most difficult ones people are having trouble on, I will try to keep updating the rest in the following days

This is my first guide on CoH2, If you think I can help you, please support me by thumbing up this guide and subscribe my Youtube channel!! Much Thanks!!

Update: Some people want to have German voices while keeping English text like mine, so I made a guide a while ago: Using German Voices with English Text

Update 2: I packed some of My Best Popular in-game Videos into a guide and share it on Steam so more people can have fun watching hilarious/interesting/fun/explosive moments! Please support and check it out if you like this guide! Thanks!

If there is any mission you have trouble with, feel free to PM me or leave a comment here, I will try to answer you and do a video on that mission.

Barbarossa: Brody Tank War with ALL Achievements on General
Yes you are reading correctly.
I did All Achievements for this mission on General

And it is very easy if you follow this guide.

Video:

Recommended Commander:
Lend Lease Tactics
Soviet Industry Tactics

Recommended Units:
Sherman M4C - Good vs all targets
KV1 - Nothing can reliable penetrate a KV1 except Pak40

I used Lend Lease in this video, I used MG to defend one VP, while conscripts will keep my tanks repaired; the fuel rate in this mission is high enough for you to spam enough tanks to rape everything.
Barbarossa: Faceoff at Rostov 13 mins Win on General Osttruppen
Yes you are reading correctly again, I won this on General in 13 minutes!

Video:

Recommended Commander:
Osttruppen

Recommended Unit:
Grenadier - Needless to explain
Osttruppen - Recrew and Support
251 HT - Reinforce
Pioneer with Minesweeper - Sweep Mine
Stug E + Pak40 - Solid Early AT Combo

This video shows you the super early rush tactic. Crush them, destroy their HQ before they can do anything at all. As you can see, I destroyed their T3 Tank Factory when it was building.
As shown in this video, you need to BASE RUSH them as soon as possible.

And the earlier you start attacking, the better before they snowball into a crowd of death.

You will need Grenadiers as a solid infantry force, Halftrack to reinforce, Osttruppen can support and recrew weapons like Pak40, Stug E as meat shield.
If that isn't enough, you have Munitions Transfer to pump yourself with LMGs and eventually, unlimited Railway Artillery.
Barbarossa: Faceoff at Rostov 15 mins Win on General
Yes you are reading correctly again, I won this on General in 15 minutes!

Recommended Commander:
Mobile Defense Doctrine
Luftwaffe Doctrine

Recommended Unit:
Grenadier with LMG - Needless to explain
Pioneer with Minesweeper - Sweep Mine
Stug E + Pak40 - Solid Early AT Combo
Panzer IV & Puma 234 Armored Car - To win the game

Many people, including me, have tried to hold the Victory Points to win this game; however it simply will not work on General.
By holding 2 VP, the AI can already call in a massive infantry blob to overwhelm you. (As shown in the end of the video). Even if you manage to fight them off, by holding 3 VP, they can call in 10x more, better tanks than you can field (vet 3 T34 KV1)

So eventually there is only one way you can win. Win before they cheat on you
As shown in this video, you need to BASE RUSH them as soon as possible.

You will need Grenadiers killing infantry to help your stupid AI teammate, Halftrack to reinforce, Stug E as spearhead.
and of course, Puma (if you dont have Puma, use Pz IV) to deal massive damage to their base.

You can destroy them in 15 mins.
Barbarossa: Faceoff at Rostov (Defensive Approach)
Video:

Recommended Commander:
Close Air Support

Recommended Unit:
Grenadier with LMG - Needless to explain
Pioneer with Minesweeper - Sweep Mine
Pak40 - Only Reliable AT Option You Have in 1941
251 Halftrack - Field Reinforcement

After reading the 15 Minutes base rush method above, you want some more challenge? You want to wait until VPs to tick down? It is possible!!

So, this time we will use the ultimate power of mobile LMG gren blob + Pak Spam. CAS is the exact right tool for the job, and in this strategy, you do not need Tanks at all!!
As you can see, I built 5 grenadiers, quickly upgraded them with LMGs using Munition Transfer as soon as I hit 3CP and with 50 fuel. These grenadiers will shred everything in their path. Use them with 251 HT for field reinforcement, and throw a pioneer in there for further repair and fortification.

Here comes the problem, by holding 2 VP, the AI can call in a massive infantry blob to overwhelm you from time to time. But no worries!! If you are doing this correctly, you should have 5x Vet 2-3 very versatile LMG Grenadiers. They can seriously take down the blob as they are harder to kill and with HT keep reinforcing.
Also, with the transfer, you can spam all the Rifle Grenades you want;
and at 6CP, you get the ultimate failsafe button of Air Support Strafe, it can pin down everything in its path in 5 seconds. If you are about to lose an engagement? Use it.

By holding 3 VP, AI can call in 10x more, better tanks than you can field (vet 3 T34 KV1). But then also no worries!!
By following my build, you will flow loads of manpower to field Pak 40s. As shown in the video, I constantly keep at least 4 Paks on the field. With the now fixed Target Weak Point Stun, you can safely AT-nade those tanks with grenadier, or stun them for a quick and safe kill.
Lastly, there is always the AT Air Support Strafe as failsafe.

Beware though! AT Strafe has long cooldown of 2 mins.

The beauty of Close Air Support is that, you dont have to worry about munitions anymore.

You can have LMG, AT-nades, Rifle-nades, Pak TWP, Bunker, Mines, all the Strafes and Stuka Bombing Run as you want it.

Barbarossa: General Winter on General
This is a fairly easy one.

Recommended Commander:
Lend Lease Tactics
Soviet Industry Tactics

Recommended Units:
Sherman M4C - Good vs all targets
KV1 - Nothing can reliable penetrate a KV1 except Pak40
KV8 - Very effective even vs light vehicles like 222 Armor Car
KV2 - Ultimate Ranged Beast ISU-152 in Year 1941!

Don't need to worry VPs, just keep killing until you rack up enough CPs to call in your base destroyers!!
Barbarossa: Encirclement at Smolensk on General
Video:

Recommended Commander:
Mobile Defense Doctrine
Osttruppen

Recommended Unit:
Osttruppen - It will save you from manpower bleed
Grenadier with LMG - Needless to explain
Pioneer in Halftruck - Mobile reinforcement and pioneer support
Pak 40 - Your solid AT

Puma 234 Armored Car - Optional

The last of the 4 big Coop Scenarios in Operation Barbarossa, the hardest part is the end to defend against horde of Soviet T34 KV1.
Osttruppen Doctrine gives a huge defensive power.
The reinforcement cost and reinforcement speed is a huge advantage, even if your weapon crew is killed, they will be back to full size in seconds.
It is a very flexible doctrine, and lastly railway kills everything near that shot.
Barbarossa: Schildkroteberg on General
Video:

Yes I know your pain. That infantry spam is stupid on General.
But guess what? AI is Stupid

In this scenario you have to avoid any possible manpower bleed.
for that I will recommend Snipers!

Recommended Units:
Pioneers - Flamers are really good.
Snipers - Avoid Manpower Bleed, you only need a medic
251 HT with Flamers - They are insanely godly.
Pak 40s - Last Wave

Strategy:
As you can see from the video, Snipers will consistently kill their infantry while avoiding any manpower loss on your side, all you need is a medic bunker to heal them if they get hit; but you will need it for pios and paks anyway.

Then I made 3x Flamer 251 HT as my main killing force, as you can see they kill very very fast and they also dont cost manpower to reinforce. So at the end I have enough manpower for 3 paks.
In the last wave (#7), this is the only wave medium tanks are spawned and you should have enough paks and loads of munition to use the stuka strafe ability. It's all in or nothing.

The key is to keep your HT alive long enough and prepare for the final wave 7.

Pro Tip - A bit cheesy but much easier:
At wave 1, let those conscripts throw molotovs on your HQ. It takes a long time for you to lose, really. And just afk for some time and accumulate enough manpower to field everything you need. It's not fun nor challenging but it's easier if you can't handle it.
Barbarossa: Pripyat River on General
Rather straight forward, all you need is to micro and kill AI infantry. Then follow up with tanks,

Osttruppen - It will save you from manpower bleed
Grenadier with LMG - Needless to explain
Pioneer in Halftruck - Mobile reinforcement and pioneer support
Pak 40 - Your solid AT

Puma 234 Armored Car - Optional

This is a rather difficult battle, as you face multiple Soviet tanks very early. (Before I could have manpower to build a Pak)
My idea is to use Osttruppen to reduce manpower bleed and gain good map control,
then use fuel to munition transfer to spam bunkers to slow them down.
Followed by HT and Pak to hold ground as possible.
Osttruppen Doctrine gives a huge defensive power.
The reinforcement cost and reinforcement speed is a huge advantage, even if your weapon crew is killed, they will be back to full size in seconds.
It is a very flexible doctrine, and lastly railway kills everything near that shot.
All you need to do is stall them long enough, the VP will tick down and you will win
Barbarossa: First Kharkov on General
My core idea here is not to retreat as much as possible. So I used Osttruppens with Grenadier support, then bring up a Halftrack to reinforce them quickly, and lastly a Pak.

If all goes well, you should already win this before Soviet can start spamming tanks on you!! (and you should, because only reliable counter is Pak 40)

Case Blue: Assault on Voronezh on General
This one is really micro-intensive.

Video:

Recommended Commander:
Mechanized Doctrine
Assault Support Doctrine
Spearhead Doctrine
Elite Troop Doctrine
Jaeger Armor/Fortified Armor Doctrine

Recommended Units:
Pz IV - Good all-rounded tank against everything except KV1
Stug III - well...a bit meh in this patch, but it's cheap and good AT power
Tiger/Tiger Ace - The real beast in this mission. Uncontested

Tips:
1. Kill your Armored Cars first, they are simply a manpower sink
2. There are lots of mines at the bottom bridge, get a minesweeper!
3. Pz IV are to gain experience and CP for your Tiger soon.
4. get some vet for your Stug III, then put it in your base to prevent rush, they are no good in CQB anyway.
5. Careful of KV1!! They are somewhat overpowered vs even vet 3 Pz IV.
6. Elite Troop Training can be quite fun to play if you have the fuel.
7. Tigers are your spearhead tanks, not Pz IV.
8. Base Rush is always the fastest way to win if you get annoyed by AI tank spawn fest.
Case Blue: Convey on General
This one requires a good planning beforehand.

Video:

As you can see,
1. you can scavenge vehicle wrecks to get lots more ammunitions for mines and demo
2. you can scavenge vehicles you kill!!
3. you can build tank traps to force them into a trap!!
4. the 222 Armored Car is the most important unit in this mission, why? I once killed the last KV-8 with it; YES a KV-8 The 2mm auto car can reliable penetrate the rear armor of KV tanks.
5. on top of that, use Ice to your advantage, grenadier and panzergrenadier dont play a huge role here.
Case Blue: Kharkov Pursuit (Mechanzied Doctrine) on General
This one will be easy if you pick the right commander.

Video:
Mechanized Doctrine!!

Recommended Commander:
Mechanized Doctrine
Elite Troop Doctrine
Osttruppen Doctrine

Recommended Units:
Assault Grenadier - Extremely effective with high DPS on close range & Save up ammunitions and Rapes partisans
Grenadier + LMG - Extremely versatile with panzerfaust ability
Pak40 - You always need one/two of these
Stug III E - Snipe Infantry from a far & effective counter to light vehicles
Tiger - Game Ender, you only need 1

Tips:
1. Do NOT tech to t3, Stug III and Panzer IV are not worth the fuel you are spending, better save up for tigers.
2. Grenadier with LMG can be a manpower and ammunition sink, so be careful with them
3. Losing squads can cause you the game
4. Always pick up abandoned weapons!! A Maxim MG or ZiS-3 AT Gun can save you a lot of manpower to build a new one
5. Stug E is a good idea to relieve some pressure. But delays your Tiger too much if you dont have the resources.
Case Blue: Kharkov Pursuit (Osttruppen Doctrine) on General
This one will be easy if you pick the right commander.

Video:
Osttruppen Doctrine

Recommended Commander:
Mechanized Doctrine
Elite Troop Doctrine
Osttruppen Doctrine

Recommended Units:
Grenadier + LMG - Extremely versatile with panzerfaust ability
Osttruppen - Very cheap and fast reinforcement, huge squad size to pick up weapons and recrew team weapons. Perfect for defense operations.
Halftrack - Field reinforcement. Necessary if you want to use Osttruppen.
Pak40 - You always need one/two of these
Pz IV - Since you have no heavy tank callin, better late than never.

Tips:
1. This strategy is defensive-focused. Try not to be too aggresive
2. Always use Osttruppen as meat shield and use grenadiers behind the lines as supporting fire.
3. Always use Ostruppens to pick up abandoned weapons!! A Maxim MG or ZiS-3 AT Gun can save you a lot of manpower. They are cheap and fast to reinforce.
4. Osttruppen always do much better in cover.
5. Use munition transfer to upgrade your bunkers, LMG42, and most importantly Teller Mines!! Mines are important part of this strategy, they will damage all the tanks AI throw at you and even 1 shot all light vehicles.
6. Stug III and Panzer IV rushes are not worth the manpower and fuel you are spending. Spend it somewhere else to fortify your defenses until you can really spare it.
7. Grenadier with LMG can be a manpower and ammunition sink, so be careful with them
8. Losing squads can cause you the game
Case Blue: Kharkov Pursuit (Elite Doctrine) on General
This one will be easy if you pick the right commander.

Video:
Elite Troops Doctrine!!! (Harder to Use)

Recommended Commander:
Mechanized Doctrine
Elite Troop Doctrine
Osttruppen Doctrine

Recommended Units:
Grenadier + LMG - Extremely versatile with panzerfaust ability
Halftrack - Field reinforcement. Necessary if you want to use Osttruppen.
Pak40 - You always need one/two of these
Stug/Pz IV - Even though I wont recommend it. The tech is too costy when you are barely holding ground.
Tiger Ace - Game Ender, you only need 1

Tips:
1. Stug III and Panzer IV are not worth the fuel you are spending. Worse Manpower bleed.
2. Grenadier with LMG can be a manpower and ammunition sink, so be careful with them
3. Losing squads can cause you the game
4. Always pick up abandoned weapons!! A Maxim MG or ZiS-3 AT Gun can save you a lot of manpower
5. Tiger Ace can be risky because the AI can pressure on you and bleed your manpower dry before it arrives.
Case Blue: Kharkov Pursuit (Close Air Support) on General
This one will be a bit hard to pull off but very fun.

Video:

Commander:
Close Air Support

Recommended Units:
Grenadier + LMG - Extremely versatile with panzerfaust ability
Halftrack - Field reinforcement. Necessary if you want to use Osttruppen.
Pak40 - You always need one/two of these

Tips:
Close Air Support is one of the best doctrine Ostheer has.
If you are not going for tanks, then you can transfer fuel into munitions and get what you are always starving for with a blink of an eye; LMGs, Medic, Teller Mines, Strafe Abilities etc

There ain't any magic in this build, simply 4 grenadiers start, hold your ground until 251 arrives and fortify with a medic bunker and possibly a MG42 bunker too. Then Pak to hold off enemy armor.

At this point you dont need anymore fuel. So just transfer away and spam flamers, mines and make a good old LMG blob and rifle grenade vs Support weapons.

If at some point you feel like you are getting overwhelmed? Strafe away. You can pin them instantly and use your LMGs to destroy any infantry. And your paks will deal with tanks like KV1. Still not enough? you have AT strafes!
Case Blue: Kharkov Pursuit (Mobile Defense) on General
Video:

Commander:
Mobile Defense Doctrine

Recommended Units:
Osttruppen Callin - Extremely cheap with panzerfaust ability; Possibly Free LMG42
MG42 - Hold Ground
Snipers - Always awesome
Halftrack - Field reinforcement. Necessary if you want to use Osttruppen.
Pak40 - You always need one/two of these
Puma 234 Armored Car - Core part of this strategy

So this build involve a relatively weaker early game but solid mid game into overwhelming late game.

I started with MG42 and 2 Snipers. It is rather easy to defend one part of this map with 1 MG42 because it's a lane map. And the Snipers should force retreat those Partisans and Maxims after one volley, and deal with everything garrisoned.

Then at 3 CP use Osttruppen with 251 HT to fortify; and Quick Paks to kill vehicles. If any weapon gets decrewed, Osttruppen can pick them up quickly and reinforce in matter of seconds.

Later on you should have enough fuel to call in Pumas as you dont need to tech T3. It will make short work on T34 and KV1 if you keep your distance. The stun round at vet 1 is great; and the axial MG will also kill some infantry on the way.
And finally you have a command Panzer IV to reliably kill off all infantry squads.
Stalingrad: Kalach Pincer on General
Note: T34/85, IS2 and ISU152 are all accessible!!

Recommended Commander:
Anything with Tanks call-in

Recommended Units:
T34/85 - Best medium tank in this game
IS2 - Massive health and armor
ISU152 - Ranged Against-everything

Rather straightforward, you start off with Shock Troops, Sniper and T70, you dont really need anything else until the time you wanna base rush them.

Tips:
1. Be mobile, get territory, kill everything and get CP to get tanks
2. I prefer T34/85 because you have number advantage, better mobility and higher DPS
3. 2 Pak43 are in their base, be careful when you rush them!!

Stalingrad: Bridge Defense on General
This can be a pain in the ass mission because you cannot retreat nor reinforce, but to rely on expensive squad call-in to merge.

Video:

Recommended Unit:
Maxim/MG42 - One at each side
Partisan - Pick up weapons, Merge to reinforce, Lay mines

Generally this mission simply requires you to keep your men alive, as there is no retreat or reinforce point. You need to smartly pull them back and merge when things get intense. Losing vet 3 units can cost you the game.

Wave 17 (Last Wave):
you can see from this video; You will float a very safe amount of manpower and a few hundred ammunitions if you do what I suggest. This is where the fun begins. You will face a Tiger and a division of grenadiers and Pzgrenadiers!!

Preparation:
Don't Panic, this time, Do NOT rush start, use your ammunitions and spam mines all over the place. The infantry will attack from both sides, but majority of them will stick with the Tiger. So if you spam mines on both roads, you can secure one side very quickly and easily.

Execution:
After spamming mines, If you play your cards right, you should have a few vet 3 Partisan squads with LMG and AT Guns. Now, quickly face your MG towards the Tiger side and stop their infantry from killing your Paks or capturing your point. Use your Pak to damage the Tiger; and use your AT Partisans to focus fire on the Tiger, LMG Partisans to deal damage to the suppressed infantry. Feel free to spend your manpower now, it is now or never!

A few general tips:
1. There are 2 Paks on the map for you to recrew, Use them
2. Put MG on each side, suppress and kill with partisans and dont forget to merge reinforce them and support them.
3. do NOT bother with recrewing any vehicles!! Not even the disabled Pz IV at the left side of the bridge. Vehicles will eat up 10+ population cap and you have NO WAY to repair them
4. Don't bother with Partisan Tank Hunters, they cannot lay mins and there will be lots of Light AT weapons lying around soon. Use them only if you really need to.
5. Most importantly, Start as soon as possible after every wave. You will get massive manpower bonus from it (i was floating 800), and trust me, you will need them when you started to get slaughtered.
6. Do NOT bother with laying mines. You don't need them, save your ammunitions until wave 17.
7. Try not to lose any vet 3 units, their armor means they don't die like flies when LMG grenadiers/Pz IV and even Tiger arrive.
Stalingrad: Winter Storm vs Tiger PzIV Spam
This is one of the hardest AI battle in ToW because your enemy can spam lots of infantry squad, Pz IV and even Tiger very early.

Video:

Recommended Commander:
Lend Lease Tactics
Shock Rifle Tactics
Shock Motor Tactics
Guard Motor Tactics
Mechanized Support Tactics

Recommended Units:
Guards - Alien Gun Stun yay!
Sherman M4C - Good vs all targets
T34/85 + Mark Target - Raping Tanks
ISU 152 - Rapes everything
KV-8 - Infantry Eraser
IS-2 - 375 King Tiger Level Armor + Big Gun

People always fail this mission on General because the 2x Pz IV in first 3 mins come too early to counter it with tanks. So my plan is to destroy these as soon as you see them. Otherwise, at 8 mins mark the Tiger will gang up with those 2 Pz IV and basically unstoppable.
You can see I spammed Mines all around roads to disable their tanks.
And most importantly, keep your ZiS AT Guns alive, their vet 2 penetration bonus is life-saver vs Tiger.
Guards can also be really useful here, because DP28 can stun lock vehicles. Guard Motor will rape any vehicles apart (IF you can keep them alive vs infantry spam)

I used Lend Lease in this video, because I started with conscripts, so I make use of their Conscript Repair ability, also you can drop fuel from ammunitions that I don't need, and I prefer Sherman M4C here because it is spammable and mobile, I can keep my map control with their numbers. Even so, you can see I had some struggle controling the map after killing the Tiger.

Alternatively, Shock Rifle also works wonder here. AT Guns can cloak, Incendiary Barrage as an Oh-♥♥♥♥ button; then KV-8 can wipe infantry and finally IS-2 will be the unstoppable tank.

ISU and T34/85 will work just fine. However I think they come a bit too late and costing 260 fuel means you cannot tech up at all, and can only get 1 call in at the time. Not to mention the faust can slow them to a turtle.
Southern Front: Spring Rasputitsa
Sum up in two words: Mortars and Recrew

Video:

Recommended Unit:
Guards (Upgrade DP LMG) - Good vs massive reinforcement blob + Button Vehicles
Mortars - They are crazy on this map
Pak 40 - Needless to say, best AT Gun in this game

General Tips:
1. Upgrade all your 2x Guards with DP28 LMG, they are very good vs infantry that keep coming; and button vehicles for AT Guns when they try to get away
2. DP-LMG Guards can also keep picking up dropped PTRS from dead enemy PanzerGrenadiers
3. Build 2 Mortars as soon as you start, their accuracy and firepower is an absolute saviour vs PanzerGrenadier blob and MG42 spam
4. Use Conscripts to merge with Guards; it is cheaper.
5. Recrew Pak40s!! They are the best AT Guns with highest penetration and rate of fire in this game
6. Pick up 1-2 MG42 to suppress incoming blob and protect your Guards and AT Guns.

Achievement:
Bombers on Approach - Cleared the way for bombers on Spring Rasputitsa: There are totally 5 watchtowers (garrison and gain sight) on the map, crew them all, and you will get it instantly.
Southern Front: Occupation
Choosing the right unit is all you need in this mission.

Video:

Recommended Unit:
Grenadier & Snipers - Available in the beginning, Do NOT lose them
MG & Maxim - Use them to cover the point, and let sniper do the killing
M3 Scout Car - Use it to take back your radio towers
Stug III G - Extremely useful vs Tanks; Also highly spammable
Tiger - What else to say?

General Tips:
1. Do NOT use Panzer IV. They cost 560 manpower and 14 pop cap. Even though you will not run into fuel shortage in this mission, extra manpower and population cap is always much more useful. The Stug is a much smarter choice! Stug cost half the manpower and only 8 pop cap; you can field 2x Stug for the price of one Pz IV
2. Another reason to choose Stug III G is that, you can Target Weak Point ability at vet 1. You will definitely have enough ammunitions to spam it; and it will stun and 100% penetrate ANY armor. The KV2 in the end will just be paper if you stun lock them using Stug III
3. Your MGs with sniper will be very effective in defending the point vs Soviet Horde
4. A M3 Scout Car is available to recrew from the beginning, take it so your greandiers can move around taking back radio towers quickly.

Achievement: Rescue the wounded Officer - He will move at half speed of normal infantry!
I do NOT recommend doing this on General, because he cannot jump into the M3 or so. And you risk your defense by moving the majority of your force across the map.
However if you manage to rescue him, He will give you a Tiger Tank!! Makes your day easier.
Southern Front: Kharkov Divide
This is a very interesting mission to me, you can play your Tiger dynamically and do a lot of strategies. Many commanders and units work here.

Video:

Recommended Commander:
Assault Support Doctrine
Elite Troop Doctrine
Lightning War Doctrine
Mechanized Assault Doctrine
Jaeger Armor Doctrine

Recommended Unit:
Grenadier - 2 grens available from the start. LMG/G43 upgrade rapes conscript and AT guns to pave road for your tiger.
251 PG Callin - German version MP44 Clown car, good vs static units like Maxim and ZiS, but also fragile.
Stug III E - Extremely useful vs infantry and light tank; basically a sniper with HE rounds and wheels ;)
Tiger - You get one in the beginning, use it to support your troops, spearhead/defend with it. Watch out for SU85! and later vet 2-3 IS2!
Tiger Ace - What else to say?
Elefant - Very useful if your Tiger micro is not as good. Because Tiger can get outranged and struggle vs IS2 late game but Elefant wont.
Opel Truck - I used this strategy in my video and you can see how much resource I end up with.

General Tips:
1. In the beginning, do not hurry to rush VP, there are lots of vetted AT guns and can damage your Tiger very much and waste your time repairing. Play passive, poke and turtle.
2. Grenadiers are good spotter, having a mortar will be even better
3. I highly recommend Assault Support Doctrine because of Opel Truck, you can see how much resource you get with that for a fast Tiger/upgrades (bonus: they are immune to cutoff!!). and you can always put a strafing run/bombing run if ♥♥♥♥ happens!
4. The Stuka strafing run in Lightning War is expensive but really really good vs anything!
5. 251 PG Callin can put a lot pressure in breaking the lines early for the Tiger to move forward vs those AT Guns. It is a high risk high reward unit; also can make your infantry immune to Fear Propaganda!
6. StuG III E is very good vs infantry and light tank, but die very fast. I would put it on VP to defend points and harassment and only use Tiger as frontline unit.
7. The gold in Jaeger Armor Doctrine is the scope. Put a scope on your tiger and see it become Tiger Ace! and you can also follow up with Elefant
8. Elefant is the ultimate tank destroyer here. In the end, even though I got 2x vet 3 Tiger, it struggles to penetrate vet 2-3 IS2 supported by numberous SU85 and AT guns. At that point, Elefant can outrange them all and guarantee penetration and kills!

In bridge defense, i captured abandoned pzIV and repaired it to full strength with vet 1 anti tank partisans. It costs a lot munitions but not impossible to get it rolling. It is effective against almost all units you encounter in this mission. It is also useful for secondary objectives. I kept it alive until last wave in which I attempted to block Tiger's path. This action resulted in sacrifice of pzIV but gained enough time to wipe out infantry with MGs. After that I destroyed Tiger easily with anti tank rifles.

@Lord Coelho you could try the Defense Doctrine with Osttruppen, Tank Traps and Pak43. Two Mg42´s , Barbed Wire, two Pak40´s, mines and tanktraps on the island are qutie enough to hold the AI out. Place the Mines on the Ice so its a OHL on the tank. Dont try to back cap whats behind you leave that your AI except if you have free units go hunting. The middle you´ll have your Halftrack, Grenadiers, Stug, Pak43, Pak 40´s and 1-2 Mg42 with a bunker. You´ll just have to hold on to it if the AI tries to cap it run into the circle to stop the capping until they run off from the Mg42 or got killed. Another advice Save scum like hell, once i got the two points and had still had 500 points i saved like every 2 minutes. So everytime the AI would get more VP´s i´d reload and react accordingly. I get its cheesey but if the AI´s gonna cheat why shouldnt you? Hope that helps :-)

Hey the only achievement i am missing is the one in Operation Barbarossa: Faceoff at Rostov where you cant let the AI have more VPs than you do. Your video showing the destruction of the AI HQ does not demonstrate that. How did you do it?

unfortunately not. these videos were made somewhere like 6-7 years ago.
and ya, Youtube is a scumbag
