Welcome! To the standalone New They Knew mod~


Update 04-12-2024
  • Fixed Spawn of the special Zed, removing the sandbox options until I figure a way to make it work, main problem is not the sandbox options on default, it's the fact that when you type anything as a value, it won't work at all, making it useless.
  • Fixed Sandboxs options in general xd
  • Made the spawn be a low 0.5, which may or not be change in the future.
  • The Mysterious box doesn't appear on the default settings on the world generation, only the zed has a low chance of dropping it, this ofc can be changed on the sandbox options

Update 22-01-2024
  • Added Susceptible trait as a compatibility, now if you use the ampule, you remove the susceptible trait, while also having a sandbox option to toggle on/off.
  • This one was a lie, ignore this line.
  • Changed tumbnail~
  • Fixed the description of the sandbox options so I avoid getting dumbass questions!

Update 18-01-2024
  • I hopefully fixed a problem with the spawn of items on the world
  • I made the items have a chance ranging from 0.0 to 100 so it's easier to config!
  • Lowered the chance of the special zed to spawn on millitary zones from 20% --> 2% so you don't get spammed of those.
  • There is no more spawn chance based on SecretZ.

Update 02-12-2023
  • Fixed typos on spawn and tooltips
  • Added world spawn for items, for testing labs, medicinal drugs tiles and army medical supplies, the spawn is rare as HELL and can be configured on sandbox options
  • Added a new requirement, Medicine Moodles with the help of JS I was able to add a moodle, proper credits for this wonderful person!!!
  • I fixed Russian translation (hopefully)
  • The Secret Box has brand new icon based on the older image, I used an AI and then edited myself!
  • Secret Z has now a higher chance of spawn instead of 2 mandatory spawns, that way you don't get hundreds of them!


What does this mod do?
  • Ampules work in a more realistic way, since they are cure, they will make you sick and hungry temporarily. While also curing you from the virus completly.
  • Zomboxycycline is also added as a restored Item from the original mod, it had everything inside the mods file, but it wasn't used... but not anymore, it has the function, the icons and all! Now it will work as a pill to prevent te virus and be immune for 24 hours!
  • Also I added two requested features, first, there is a sandbox option to change the amount of hours on which Zomboxycycline works~
  • Also compatibility to getting the trait Immunity and removing the Susceptible trait! All you have to do is consume the ampule~
  • I also added a new secret box, it's a really rare loot of the special Zed, this box contains 6 Ampules, that's why it's really rare.
  • Finally, everything can be configurable, the trait, the spawn rate, loot rate and such!
  • It also has a little higher chance that's independent from the base one to spawn on millitary zones.

Is it safe to remove or add to a safe?
To remove, yes, it will give you a couple errors for missing items but it's all safe. To add? Yes, completly. New items will appear on unexplored zones
Can you make the moodle optional?
NO.
Is the Susceptible mod mandatory?
No.
Is the immune trait mandatory?
No.
Is Medicine Moodles + Framework mandatory?
Yes
Can you add "x" feature?

Pharo almost positive you have to take the Zomboxycycline BEFORE you get bit.

Secondly and finally, you have both "SecretBase/Army" Lines, which are special spawn zones that are independent of the first default line, this spawn zones are millitary zones and such, keep in mind, you shouldn't make them a very high number, since you'll have a lot of the zeds spawning, since most maps, and even the base one, can have multiple of those spawn zones on a millitary base. Quick example (may not be completly accurate) The secret base of Rosewood, is a big millitary base, but it has multiple zones of "SecretBase," meaning that it'll have multiple chances of spawning, which can end up being a lot of special zed if you use high values. Hope this helps.

In my file I did it more simple, I just gave it a basic number, which doesn't get multiplied or anything, it's just the raw chance, which can't be edited sadly through sandbox options currently, since I lack knowledge to fix the problem of sandbox options not applying when you change them, so, as I stated on the comments and description, I gave it a raw rare chance, which, if you want to edit, you'll need to chance the value itself on this file.

First line is "Default" which is the basic spawn, that can be anywhere on the map, by itself it has a low value, but if you want to go lower, you can do 0.1/0.0001 or even lower, that won't be a problem.

So, if you check the files on the mod, which is located "steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3033928658\mods\TK\media\lua"
There is two folders, first is server>items - This file of distributions deal with the spawn of the items of the mod, where you can check the ratios for the item world spawn and the special zed spawn of the items, which can be actually edited on the sandbox options, but if you are curious, you can check it, it's not a formula by itself, it's just a value that lets you choose whatever value you want for the chances.

Second you have shared>NPCs folder which is the main one you want to check, the original mod did use a simple formula of "sandbox value x 0.000001" which was the value you choose on the sandbox options and gets multiplied by a large decimal number to reduce it and make it rare, regardless how big of a number you choose.
