Post Battle Options Overhaul

Description
This mod overhauls the post-battle options to be more logical, make the post-battle options between the various factions of roughly equivalent strength (in vanilla, Oxyotl, the Sisters of Twilight and the Tomb Kings get the best options) and reduce the scenarios where one or two of the options is a definitive no.

List of Changes
  • Most cases where factions suffer a penalty of any kind from a certain Post Battle Option have been removed.
  • Every post battle option now gives two bonuses of some kind. Some battle options will give three in the case where a vanilla battle option is very paltry in some way (such as Bestial Rage which is very easy to keep up).
  • The text describing various post battle options has been changed, either to avoid silly interpretations like in the cover picture or just to represent how penalties have been removed.
  • Some factions (Vampire Counts, Greenskins, Lizardmen, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch and Beastmen) have had their kill captives option removed. This is because what they were described as doing to gain replenishment or income would kill the captives anyway unless they were killing captives and then leaving the perfectly good meat uneaten/corpses unraised/skulls untaken or eating captives in such a restrained way as to not kill them.
  • The Skaven have had the descriptions and titles for their army buffs and replenishment buffs swapped. Skaven have a far larger range of what's edible and appetising than anyone they can take captive with the exception of other Skaven so using prisoners as a mobile food source doesn't make sense. A big reason humans farm livestock is that the livestock eat what's not edible or appetising to humans and turn it into meat on their bones that is edible and appetising to humans.
  • The Dwarves Drink to Battle option replenishes casualties in addition to its typical effects. Their option to take on Dwarven captives will give the Drink To Battle bonus to the army in addition to replenishing it. Their standard replenishment post-battle option that was introduced in Thrones of Decay has been removed.
  • Dwarves will gain equal amounts of Oathgold for ransoming enemies as they will for executing and looting enemies. A previous version of this mod gave them Campaign Movement Range as well as Oathgold but with the addition of The Deeps (as well as mods that give more things to spend Oathgold on), it's no longer a resource that accumulates endlessly without anything to use it on.
  • Uncaps all Faction or Army resources that can be gained from post-battle options. This mostly affects Souls used by Chaos Warriors, Infections used by Nurglites, Meat for Ogres and Charms used by Mother Ostankya because in the other cases, (Devotion for Kislev and Glory for the Daemon Prince) the cap was so high as to be only theoretically possible to reach.
  • Every case where a fixed amount of a resource is gained from a post battle option has instead been tied to the enemies captured. I am using 150 captives as a baseline, this many captives will provide the exact same amount of resources as the previous fixed amount. This means one Canopic Jar for every 5 captives, one food supply for every 75 captives, one Lizardman sacrifice for every 3 captives and one Winds of Magic Power Reserve for every 30 captives (all rounded down).
  • Beastmen Dread, Greenskin Scrap and Tzeentchian Grimoires are granted by a post-battle option (Sacrificing or Ransoming the enemy). One Dread is earned for every 2 captives, one scrap is earned for every 5 captives and one grimoire is earned for every 10 captives. All of these are rounded down.
  • Warriors of Chaos will gain souls for ransoming captives from a Chaos faction as well as a non-chaos faction.

I'm not experiencing the same issue. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod?

"The Dwarves Drink to Battle option replenishes casualties" - with this mod I gained drink with no replenishment

update?

Also CA made the idiotic change to make all chars in table and script filenames to lowercase so all of those need to be changed for mods to even work.

There is a special build of rpfm in the modding discord under the rpfm_and_runcher channel that automates making the chars to lowercase.

Causes a crash on startup now. The kislev record in campaign_post_battle_captive_options_tables for 826154462 has an invalid key

Sounds good, it didnt seem to immediately crash so it's probably fine. I do see a lot of entries are modified. No idea which ones are real changes though, there were too many lol.

@Jolc3r I'm have not seen any sign that Omens of Destruction made any changes to the post-battle options in terms of gameplay, though CA might have changed keys for no reason. The update that made Greenskins gain Scrap for ransoming captives will need to have its scrap payouts improved and I need to wait until I have some free time to figure out a new ratio.

Can anyone confirm if this works on latest update?

@2D I just triple-checked the mod. I'm sure I updated it for the Throne of Decay DLC. Unless some new update has changed things again, the mod should work with the current patch. I can't get to my Gaming PC right now to check for sure but for now, try uninstalling and reinstalling the mod.

FYI I stopped using this mod because it stops the Elspeth option of getting schematics. Recommend updating
