RIM AT WAR - WW2 Japanese Weapons!

This mod adds firearms, explosives, and other equipment used by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War 2 in the pacific theater.

This mod was funded by Muammar.

Rim At War is a mod series that focuses on introducing real life equipment and factions that existed and were used during World War 1-2 to Rimworld. This is the progress on the Japanese.

This mod serves entertainment purposes only and is to be used as so.
This mod is in no means to promote hate, or glorify violence in any way.

The Type 14 Nambu was designed to replace Japan's earlier service pistol, the Type 26 revolver.

The Type 26 revolver has a double-action only mechanism and is therefore difficult to aim accurately.

The Type 1 Nambu SMG is a pre World War II experimental submachine gun.

The Type 100 SMG is a Japanese submachine gun used during World War II and the only submachine gun produced by Japan in any quantity.

The Type 99 Arisaka was a frontline rifle developed to replace the less powerful Type 38.

The Type 99 sniper rifle is a sniper version of the Type 99 rifle.

The Type 2 rifle grenade is an attachment for Type 99 rifles that allows them to fire grenades. This weapon has two fire modes in vanilla and in CE.

The Type 11 is a light machine gun used by the Imperial Japanese Army in the interwar period and during World War II.

The Type 99 is a light machine gun, the Type 99 traces its history to the ZB vz. 26, which also inspired the British Bren.

The Type 97 automatic cannon is a 20-millimeter Japanese anti-tank rifle. In CE you'll need to set up its bipod for it to be useful.

The Type 89 grenade discharger, inaccurately and colloquially known as a "knee mortar" by Allied forces, is a Japanese grenade launcher. If you have VEF installed this weapons has different projectiles.

The Type 4 is a rocket launcher comparable to the German panzerschreck and the American bazooka. If you have VEF installed this weapon loses durability per shot, 5 shots total.

The Type 93 was one of the flamethrowers used during World War 2. This item is WIP and may require a fuel pack in the future, right now is balanced around not having it.

The Type 97 is the basic frag grenade used by the Japanese during World War 2.

The Type 3 is an "anti-tank" Japanese grenade produced from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.

The Type 89 is a 50mm grenade filled with white phosphorus that ignites its surroundings upon impact. In CE is part of an ammo set.

The Type 4 ceramic grenade was a "last-ditch" hand grenade. This one has been filled with a lot of explosive and a long fuse to serve as a demolition charge.

- This mod is compatible with Combat Extended. Includes some custom ammo and new unique textures for all the Japanese calibers used by this mod.

- This mod makes use of Vanilla Expanded Framework for some of its optional features like multiverbs.

- This mod inlcudes support for Muzzle Flash.

- This mod includes .dds textures to increase performance when using Graphics Settings+ or similar.

Q: Are you planning on doing other WW2 mods?
A: Yes, equipment, apparel, vehicles, factions, emplacements, etc are all planned to be worked on sooner or later.

Q: Can the mod be added to existing saves?
A: Yes.

Q: Can the mod be removed from existing saves?
A: Is never a good practice to remove mods from ongoing saves. That said, this mod is quite simple and you should be able to fully remove it if you do it properly.

Q: Why does the recipe for some of the weapons requires chemfuel/wood?
A: This may only be a CE thing but It is because most of this weapons have plastic, polymer or wooden parts and I like to reflect that in the crafting cost of the weapon.

Q: Are the weapons properly balanced? (Vanilla)
A: I try to balance my weapons as good as I can, this balance is mostly done comparing it to vanilla or vanilla expanded weapons, however, if you think a weapon should be tweaked let me know in the comments and I'll try to adjust it.

Q: Are the weapons properly balanced? (CE)
A: Same stuff as in the previous question but this time around weapons should feel much more balanced in general thanks to the ballistic system from CE and the rules it follows to balance weapons.
