Slink's Vanilla Sub Pack

Description
OVERVIEW:
This is a collection of subs, wrecks, and pirates subs designed with the aim of being as vanilla as possible. They (in theory) seamlessly integrate with the regular submarines without deviating from my interpretation of what the devs possibly consider vanilla. They work in campaign, multiplayer, all mission types, and are completely compatible with the AI crew. Obviously, there's a bit of flair added to each to make them feel relatively unique, but hopefully none of them are overpowered or feel out of place. Some are throwbacks to legacy, some are remixes of classic workshop subs, and the rest are of my own design. ALL ARE DESIGNED TO ADD SOME VARIETY TO THE RATHER LIMITED NUMBER OF VANILLA SUBS.

(The pictures and description are lined up btw)

THE V-20 HAULER:

"The V-20 was a result of an initiative to design a transport submarine that can also double as a heavy gunship. While not exactly excelling at either, the design remains relevant, which is mostly attributed to its adequately high speed and hard-to-sink hull."

Basically an alternative to the Berilia, with more of a focus on heavy firepower and a streamlined design. A lot of effort was put into making this sub easy to get around in, with a main level having access to pretty much the entire sub. Nobody should get lost on this thing, but it does take a large crew to run properly. Also, I think it looks cool.

THE VELLOA:

"An example of nostolgia beating out reason, the Velloa is a Coalition-funded redesign of the classic Vellamo submarine used many years ago. The simple layout loved (and hated) by so many captains has remained intact, but many issues intrinsic to the design have remained, making this an impractal and expensive status symbol more than a capable military vessel."

This is a full blown remake of the legacy Vellamo submarine, which was the most 'normal' sub design from back then. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, as it fits right in with the new stuff. I did not want to make it a 1:1 remaster, because it would be hopelessly outclassed by everything else, so I added features that I think would fit the design (goodbye windows, sadly). With my major tweaks, the sub is a relatively fast gunship with a high flood tolerance, but is hard to move around in efficiently. If you want a true 1:1 remaster of the sub, check out this one:

THE SILVERBACK:

"Originally based on old world submarine designs, the Silverbacks were once a luxury few could afford. Now few remain as an outdated relic of a bygone era, passed from captain to captain, their age slowly adding to their derelict nature. This one hasn't quite given up yet, so a savvy crew can make the engines of the past roar once more."

This is an updated version of my old Silverback sub I posted a couple of years ago. The design is basically a scaled up Dugong with plenty of bells and whistles to keep you entertained while doing transport missions. It has proper armament, and can be crewed by only a couple people if needed. Leak tolerance is pretty low, so be careful of that. You're going to want to upgrade the reactor.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE BETTA:

"The HUL-2 Betta is a submarine commonly used to ferry passengers from outpost to outpost. While not exactly a luxury experience, they are a far more safe option when compared to chartering a shuttle. They even come with a view!"

I was always interested in making the Barotrauma version of a taxi, and this sub pretty much fits the description. Special consideration has been made for the AI on this sub, so the passengers ACTUALLY STAY PUT IN THE SEATING AREA. If the passenger area floods, then the rest of the sub is made available for use by them. The biggest debate I had about the sub was whether to make it a tier 1 or tier 2, as it fits a weird niche. I settled on giving it a large mount, and making it a tier 2.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE FALCON:

"Out of the thousands of submarines produced in the last 50 years, most of them were probably Falcons. These days, they are pretty hard to come by, owing to the fact that they aren't durable and can't resist the deeper depths they are often plummeted into."

First and foremost, this is based on the Kessel submarine, one of the OG popular submarines from when Barotauma was first released on Steam. It was, in fact, the first submarine I ever downloaded. It was also a complete death trap capable of going WAY too fast. For this version, I only copied the shell design, and reworked everything else to better match vanilla, or at least serve as an actual functioning submarine. It has everything an early campaign player could want, but sinks like a stone very quickly at even the smallest attack. The original is here:

WRECKS AND STUFF:

I added wrecked versions of the falcon and V-20 Hauler, as well as pirate versions of the Betta and Falcon. Hopefully I set the thamluses up correctly, if not, lemme know.

NOTE:

More content to come, and I plan on keeping this pack up to date as best as I can.

Possibly upcoming features:

-The AEGIR MK III remake
-a lot of wrecks
-more "pirate" subs
-an entire sub pack in addition to this one

LET ME KNOW IF I SCREWED ANYTHING UP

Alrighty, went down a rabbit hole, long story short, It SHOULD be fixed now. Long story long, on my end the content package is still referred by the game as Velloa, but in the mods menu it has the correct name, as I edited the content package files directly in my hard drive. IF IT IS STILL called Velloa in your mod menu, let me know and I will delete the mod out of fear that it is haunted by a spirit that only wants to slightly inconvenience me.

Very nice pack of subs. Good job! You can use wikiimage_sub console command in editor to get better screenshots of your subs btw.
