Physics 10 Kaleos

Description
Momo's Physics 10 Kaleos is the first mod in the Momo's Physics series to be co-produced by an RL truck driver who closely modified necessary physics parameters based on his RL experience on RL trucks and tested the mod in-game until he has been fully satisfied that this is what an RL truck cabin really behaves.

I also checked RL truck driving videos on Youtube and I confirm that driving with this mod, the cabin's movement is like what I saw in the videos.
This is the video that I compared with this mod.

WHAT THIS MOD CHANGES THE VANILLA

1. The cabin movement (suspension, stiffness, pitch/roll angle, etc.)
2. The truck suspension
3. The seat suspension
4. Cabin weight
5. Physical front wheel turning angle (34 degrees making the turning radius 12.5 meters)
6. Brake distance

Some parameters are ported from my Physics 9.

HOW THIS MOD IS DIFFERENT FROM PHYSICS 9 and GO PRO

1. This mod has smaller turning radius than GO PRO (in the middle between the vanilla and GO PRO) so it is easier to back your trailer.
2. This mod has lower steering ratio than GO PRO, so the steering is faster with this mod.
3. In overall when compared with Physics 9, the cabin movement is more sensitive with this mod.

Other aspects are the same as Physics 9 (this mod is built upon Physics 9).

SHOULD YOU MOVE TO THIS MOD AND DUMP PHYSICS 9?

This mod and physics 9 are different in essence. You may or may not like it. It is still a matter of personal preference. Therefore I would recommend you to try it to see for yourself.

COMPATIBILITY

1. Compatible with all truck mods provided that this mod is placed higher than them. (Known issue: Truck mods that modify the chassis files (if any) may behave strangely. You can fix that by opening the chassis folder in the truck mod folder, then find the files named 4x2, 6x2, etc., then open the files, then find the lines:
residual_travel[]: 0.1
residual_travel[]: 0.088
residual_travel[]: 0.088
Change the values to the samples above, then save the files.

2. Compatible with all SCS trucks in ETS2.

3. Compatible with my Air Ride mods in case you want a softer seat. They must be higher than this mod.

4. Available in the convoy mode.

RECOMMENDED SETTING

For best result, you are highly recommened to start with the following setting first. And you may adjust them according to your personal preference.

For 900 degree users
Steering Sensitivity ---------- O (1.50)
Steering Non-Linearity ------O----- (0.95)

For 1080 degree users
Steering Sensitivity ---------- O (1.50)
Steering Non-Linearity ------O----- (0.65)

For 1440 degree users (direct drive wheel base)
Steering Sensitivity ----------O (1.50)
Steering Non-Linearity O----------- (0.0)

For all users

1. Braking intensity 95% (Modern trucks have advanced braking systems)
e.g:
# truck/semi-trailer 14 T + load 24 T = 38 Tons with speed 80km/h, stopping distance 41m

# truck/semi-trailer 14 T with speed 60km/h, stopping distance 16m
(for comparison, a 1.5 T family car with a speed of 60 km/h - 10 m)

# truck/semi-trailer 14 T with speed 50km/h, stopping distance 9m
(for comparison, a family car 1.5 T with a speed of 50km/h - 7m)

2. Truck stability 100%
3. Trailer stability 50%
4. Drive shaft torque 100%
5. Suspension stiffness 80%
6. Cab suspension stiffness 0%
7. Uneven surface 100%
8. Physical Camera 100% (Tick the box too)

OTHER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED MODS

I highly recommend these mods. Without them the game will never feel real. Persoanally, I cannot play the game without them.

1. Engine sound mods such as Kriechbaum's, Zee's, and Max2712's (Some are paid mods but trust me you will get 100 USD worth sound for just a few dollars. You will never regret buying them.)

2. Sound Fixes mod by Drive Safely (Immersive environment and AI sound)

CREDITS

1. Steam user named Kaleos the RL truck driver behind this mod for his hard work testing and adjusting this mod.

2. SCS Software the best game developer out there who has never charged us for new trucks when they could and other developers charge for things like this. SCS is among the very few game developers that are not greedy and money grabers. And of course, SCS still keeps improving this game even older than a decade. It is love and passion.

DONATION

Although Kaleos and I shared this mod with you out of passion but we would not say no to your kindness.

RE-UPLOAD

If you wish to re-upload this mod outside Steam, please include a link to this page and credit for me and Kaleos. We worked hard for this, at least we deserve to be mentioned.

Update the graphics of recommended settings

For Steering Non-Linearity is 40%, 0.04 or 0.40 or 40% of the max 2.00?
Burnout Jan 14 @ 2:51am
Since 1 or 2 major updates of ETS2, the level values of sterring linaerity have changed

max is now 1.5

so, maybe you could update the graphics of your recommended settings as this for new users ?

For 900 -1080 degree users
Steering Sensitivity ------O---- - (100% or 1.00)
Steering Non-Linearity --O---------- (40-50% or 0;40-0;50)

For 1500 degree users
Steering Sensitivity -----O------ (100% or 1,00)
Steering Non-Linearity O----------- (0% or 0,00)

Yes. That's true.
Because it is very difficult to tip over just a truck without a trailer

following the recommended settings, aren't the truck a bit too stable? I mean you almost can't get the truck to flip, right?

could u guys give us a hint about steering sensivity & non linearity on controller? thanks in advance.

I do not recommend FF settings because each steering wheel base is different.
For example, I use a typical simracing base: VRS DirectForce Pro and a real truck wheel with a diameter of 45 cm.
Here are my in-game settings

but I still have separate settings in the steering wheel base controller.
