Essentials Mods to use with Calamity Mod

I wanted to create this guide because I was in pain when I decided to play Calamity Mod first. I didn't even know which mods do I need and how to use them. And if you are feeling the same way welcome to my guide :)

Here are my mod suggestions to play Calamity Mod:

Lets begin:

1-) Recipe Browser:
With Recipe Browser, you have access to powerful tools to help you plan out what items you want to craft. You'll be able to quickly find items that you can craft with the items in your possession, even if it takes several intermediate crafting steps.

To use, first you need to assign some hotkeys. Make sure to go into the Keybindings menu and assign hotkeys.

2-) Boss Checklist:
Boss Checklist lets you view a boss checklist while playing so you can progress through bosses as you can handle them.

3-) Census - Town NPC Checklist:
Census - Town NPC Checklist modifies the housing panel to show missing townspeople.

A "✓" signifies that the conditions for spawning that npc have been fulfilled. An "X" means that conditions have not been fulfilled. A "?" means the game hasn't checked Town NPC spawn conditions yet. Hover over it to see the spawn conditions.

4-) Fargo's Best of Both Worlds:
I use this mod to get both evil biomes in my world generation.

5-) Fargo's Mutant Mod:
This is a Quality of life mod that adds the Mutant town NPC who sells boss summons of nearly every mod
There are several other items such as infinite ammos, craftable instant builds for common world infrastructure like skybridges, obsidian underworld bridges, hellevators, unlimited potions, increased spawn rates toggle item, and more!

Trust me, you need this mod if you wanna play Calamity ;)

6-) AlchemistNPC Lite:
This mod adds 7 NPCs (Alchemist, Brewer, Jeweler, Young Brewer, Operator, Architect and Musician), who sell potions, materials and some other stuff. You need this one too :)

7-) Smarter Cursor:
Smarter Cursor is a simple mod that tweaks the way smart cursor works with platforms, allowing it to better reflect your intentions when building. No more constantly making stairs when you just want to make a flat bridge, as this mod fixes that issue entirely (while still allowing you to build stairs when you want to). It also improves smart cursor with walls and adds new functionality when placing tiles.

8-) Start with base:
"Start with base" is a small mod which generates a base at the end of world generation considering all NPC's of all active mods. If you are tiered building your own all the time that mod might work for you. But it won't give you too much.
You still need to place chests and crafting stations. Only for NPC flats you don't need to care about anymore.
It will check how many NPC your active mods contain and resize the base accordingly (only at world gen).

If you are lazy like me to build NPC houses then use it ;)

9-) Magic Storage:
Calamity Mod adds so many items to base game. And also other mods adding more. It is going to be total mess at some point. Just imagine searching an item in 30 chests :P
Just use this mod guys. Trust me again..

This mod offers a solution to storage problems once and for all. It allows you to construct a central network to store all your items, that you can access from one single block. If desired, you can even set up multiple access points to use your storage from anywhere in the world. You can search your storage for items with a certain name, filter by item types, etc. The magic storage can even craft items for you!

Note: I suggest checking the basic guide given by a special robot NPC

10-) LuiAFK Reborn:
Just imagine building a customizable arena or hellevator just by clicking.

Dragonvault is a great alternative to magic storage, every time I've used magic storage it's just not fun to have to get gems EVERY time I play, while dragonvault is much cleaner and only takes 10 platinum/gold to start

15 chests is all I need. Also, "Where's My Items" exists. I can click "Quick Stack to nearby chests" to store things, and keep going. Also, being a long time player of Terraria. I quite enjoy gathering the items from chests taking them to work bench and watching the be replaced with a pace of gear.

Because there is no reason to place 100 different chests and searching items in them even if they sorted. Also Magic Storage allows you to access all items while crafting
