Fallout 1: 2161 / Fallout 2: 2241 / New Vegas: 2281
[LOCATION]
Vault 13

Vault 13 appears in Classic pack DLC of New vegas because it is the Vault of the Fallout 1 protagonist, Vault Dweller. Most of the items you get from the Classic Pack in New Vegas are related to Vault 13.

The Vault 13 Suit and 10mm Pistol are items that the Vault Dweller equip at the start of the game.

The Vault 13 Suit is particularly iconic because it is passed down to the Chosen One(the protagonist of fallout 2), the descendant of the Vault Dweller(the protagonist of fallout 1). The Vault 13 canteen appears in both 1 and 2 as a means of staving off dehydration.

In fallout 2, it's as an object that the Chosen will refer to as they search for Vault 13.

▶Vault 13 canteen

One of the GRA achievements, "Revenge of Vault 13," is about killing mutant, as the story of Fallout 1 is about stopping the Super Mutants.
Arroyo
▶Emily Ortal

Emily Ortal, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse, is from Arroyo. Arroyo is also the town of the Chosen One, the protagonist of Fallout 2.

▶Arroyo, the starting point of Fallout 2

Arroyo is destroyed in the middle of the story but after the ending, the existing residents and Vault 13 residents use GECK to rebuild New Arroyo. it is New Arroyo that Emily is referring to.

▶New Arroyo
Boneyard
▶Julie Farkas

The Boneyard, where the Followers of the Apocalypse were founded, appears in Fallout 1. (Angel's Boneyard) In Fallout 1, the Followers of the Apocalypse are centered around the Boneyard's library. According to their leader, Nicole, they used to live in Dayglow before settling in the Boneyard.

▶Nicole, the leader of Followers of the Apocalypse

▶Ricky

(Dayglow is an area near the Fallout 1 location "Glow". It was barren when the Followers of the Apocalypse left, but later became a large settlement when the ghouls of Necropolis moved in. Dayglow is one of the states of the NCR, along with the Boneyard).

In the Good Ending, Followers of the Apocalypse become an ally of the NCR and gain control of the Boneyard.

Caesar mentions that he gained his knowledge because he was from the NCR, lived near the Boneyard as a Followers of the Apocalypse, and leaned on them for education.

They even turn the Boneyard into a center of education, establishing the Angel's Boneyard Medical University (presumably a great facilities in the NCR, which Arcade said).

Dr. Usanagi of the New Vegas Clinic is a graduate of the university.

Yes, I am. I received my medical training at the Angel's Boneyard Medical University back in the NCR. It's not a requirement to be a Follower to enter the university, but I believe in what they do, so I joined them.
-Dr. Usanagi

▶Razz of Camp forlorn hope

Razz is also from the Boneyard.
Crimson Caravan

The Crimson Caravan has been around since Fallout 1. Players can visit the Crimson Caravan headquarters in the Hub. In Fallout 2, the caravan is more organized and has branches in every town.

▶Blake of the Crimson Caravan

In Fallout 1 and 2, players can work as a caravan guard on the Crimson Caravan's schedule.

Gun runners
▶Mojave branch of Gun runners

The Gun runners first appeared in Fallout 1, Boneyard (it was founded six years before Fallout 1) and is one of the few sources of heavy and energy weapons. Due to the Deathclaws that inhabit the area, they surround their headquarters with poisonous substances. If players deal with the Deathclaw, they give them a one-time discount on weapons. They sell energy weapons and heavy weapons that are not carried by the Brotherhood or the Hub. In New Vegas, their headquarters are still located in the Boneyard.

▶Gun runners in Boneyard
Junktown

The book found in New Vegas is about Bob of Fallout 1.

He sells Iguana bits and iguana-on-a-stick in Hub. The meat is from human supplied by Morbid, a doctor in Junktown.

Klamath
▶Klamath bob of Westside

Westside Liquor store owner Klamath Bob is from Klamath. The Klamath is the village featured in Fallout 2 ('the tribal from Arroyo' means the Chosen One). As mentioned, it's a village of Gecko trappers. If players complete the quest about rescuing the missing Gecko trapper Smiley, they are rewarded with a Gecko skinning perk. Players can't get the hide until they acquires this perk.

▶Smiley

▶Gecko skinning perk
Redding
Navarro
▶Navarro

▶Judah Kreger of the Enclave remnants

Navarro is the mainland home base of the Enclave in Fallout 2. The past that the Arcade is referred is about Fallout 2's main storyline.

My late father was an officer in a group called the Enclave, a remnant of America's Pre-War government. Memories being short around here, not a whole lot of people remember them. But they did bad things. Terrorized communities, kidnapped people. Eventually, someone stopped them. I was born a few years later at a military base on the coast, a place called Navarro.
- Arcade gannon

The Enclave's home base, the Poseidon oil rig, is blown up by the Chosen One, and Navarro is taken over by the NCR. After the ending of Fallout 2, Arcade and Enclaves attempt to go into hiding in the NCR, but the NCR's efforts to root out Enclave remnants have led them to the Mojave.

Navarro is also where the Enclave researcher was trying to send ED-E.

New Reno
▶Clayton Ettienne of Westside Co-op

▶Jed Masterson of Happy Trails Caravan

▶Mags

New Reno, like the Strip, is a city in the state of Nevada. It is featured in Fallout 2 and is mentioned as a place of origin for several characters in New Vegas. Four mafia families (the Mordinos, Wright and Salvatores, and Bishop mentioned by Etienne) run the city, and two of them run casinos.

▶Bruce Isaac

▶Shark club

▶Stella of Happy Trails Caravan

Golgotha is a cemetery outside of New Reno.

Shady Sands(NCR)
▶Anderson in Westside

▶Trent Bascom

▶ Missionary

Shady Sands is the town that is the root to the New California Republic, so it is mentioned with the NCR. It is the first place the Vault dweller visit after exiting the vault.

Shady Sands was built by the residents of Vault 15 with GECK after they exit the vault. in Fallout 1, If players complete the quests about the village chief(Aradesh), and his daughter(Tandy), they found the NCR together in the Good Ending.

▶Shady sands(fallout 1)

▶Shady sands(fallout 2)

In Fallout 2, Shady Sands is the capital city of the NCR. As it has grown into an influential metropolis, the currency in Fallout 2 is NCR dollar. In Fallout: New Vegas, the Mojave is back to using a mix of Cap and NCR dollars because the NCR's war with the Brotherhood of Steel reduced the trust and value of the dollar. (This is partly since the Mojave is geographically far away from the NCR).

In Fallout 2, Tandy is the president after the Aradesh. As the chosen one(the protagonist of Fallout 2) is the descendant of the Vault dweller, Tandi is pleased to hear from them if players mention it.

She is also the most popular NCR President in history. The NCR missionary in the Freeside and Caesar mention about it.

President Tandi was voted into office each time.
-Courier
Because the council didn't dare oppose her. She was too popular. She had the people's love.
-Caesar
Who is the most popular NCR President of all time? (President Tandi.)
- NCR Missionary

Tandy is also featured on the $100 NCR in New Vegas.

The Hub
▶Hub downtown

The Hub is a large city in Fallout 1, mentioned as the origin of several NPCs in New Vegas. It is also the location of the Crimson Caravan's headquarters.

▶Dawes

▶Sergeant Mcgee

▶Alice McLafferty

When NCR was founded, The hub became one of its state.
[CHARACTER]
Arch Dornan
▶Johnson of the Enclave remnant

Sergeant Dornan, as described by Enclave Remnant Johnson, is located at Navarro Military Base in Fallout 2. He roams the base, constantly checking on the guards and, as Johnson describes, scolds at the Chosen one if they're not wearing their Enclave power armor or standing at their assigned posts.

He's one of the few characters in Fallout 2 with a voice, even though he only has a script that points out Chosen one's work attitude. If players were spotted more than three times, He immediately attacks them.

Desert Ranger

The giant statue at the Mojave Outpost was built to commemorate the Desert Rangers joining the NCR.

The Desert Rangers were Nevada vigilantes before they were absorbed into the NCR, but were outnumbered during a confrontation with Caesar's army and signed a treaty with the NCR.

▶Stella of the happy trail caravan

In Fallout 1, players can meet Tycho, a Desert Ranger. If players ask him to be companion during certain quests, he accompany them.

We Rangers hail from back east, what used to be called Nevada. Our heritage stretches back to the days of the Texas Rangers. We learn survival and combat skills in order to go out into the world and have a chance of surviving and making things better.
-Tycho

Tycho is a man 'in dusty leather armor with a trenchcoat and gas mask', which is the same description as the Veteran Rangers in New Vegas.

▶Tycho card of the Fallout board game

▶Veteran ranger armor in New Vegas

NCR Rangers appear since Fallout 2. If players eliminate a slave trader based near the NCR capital, they accept them as a member of the Rangers and give them a badge indicating that they are an NCR Ranger. There are also Ghouls and Super Mutants inside the Ranger offices that serve as Rangers.

▶Ranger pin
Dr. Henry
▶Dr. Henry

Dr. Henry, an Enclave Remnant, first appears in Fallout 2. After defecting from the Enclave due to a disagreement with a fellow researcher in his field, he established his own clinic in the NCR capital where he conducts research on treating supermutants. If players help him, he let them take a cyber dog as a companion.

▶Dr. Henry in NCR

Doctor's fellow researcher and K9 a cyberdog that looks a lot like Rex are in the Enclave base in Navarro.

Jas Wilkins
▶Jas Wilkins

Jas Wilkins in Slone's Tavern wants to make a Deathclaw Egg Omelet so gives players a quest to get the eggs. Jas Wilkins is a relative of Rose Wilkins from Fallout 2. Rose's diner in Modoc is famous for its omelets, but she keeps it a secret that it uses Desclaw's eggs, which makes the townspeople suspicious.

▶Rose's deathclaw cage

If players enter Rose's barn and kill Deathclaw, the omelet is no longer be available to order.

▶Rose Wilkins
John Cassidy

Cass's father appears in Fallout 2 as the companion character, John Cassidy. John runs a bar in Vault City where he can get proper medical care because of his heart condition (using drugs like Jet and Psycho will kill him).

Why are you here if you hate it so much?
- Chosen one
I have a bad heart. Need cardio booster shots to keep it beating. This city's the only place to get real medical care, so I thought I'd settle here, try and make a living.
- John Cassidy

but since he disgusted with Vault City, he's willing to go along with players. Like Cass said, he has a high small guns skill and a high perception stat, making him one of the more combat-oriented characters in 2.

Khans, Jackals and Vipers
▶Khans

The Khan, Jackal, and Viper raiders of New Vegas are from Vault 15 of the classic series. In Vault 15, social experiment that housed people with very different ideas and ideologies together conducted. but the residents were unable to overcome the discord so they eventually left the vault in groups. The groups that split off at this point are the Khans, the Jackals, and the Vipers. (One group that chose to stay in the vault is later attacked by the Raiders and leaves the vault to found Shady Sands).

Khans appears in both of Fallout 1 and 2. In 1, They kidnapped Tandi, so Aradesh asks Vault dweller to rescue her.

In Fallout 1, there are several ways to save Tandy, but in the canon ending, the Vault Dwellers wipes out Khan and rescue Tandi. in Fallout 2, Darion, the only survivor of the raid, has formed New Khan to revenge against Tandi and the Vault Dweller.

Marcus
▶Marcus in Jacobstown

Marcus of Jacobstown is a companion character can be recruited in Broken Hills(Fallout 2). If players ask him about the tribal (Chosen One), he tells a bit about Fallout 2's main story.

In Fallout 2, he serves as the sheriff of Broken Hills. He was part of the Super Mutant Army (Fallout 1), but after the fall of the Master, he met Paladin Jacob of the Brotherhood of Steel and together they founded Broken Hills. Jacobstown's name is from the paladin's.

[ETC]
Unity
▶Lily

▶Klamath bob in the Westside

Unity is the super mutant army of the master in Fallout 1. Super mutant NPCs in New vegas mention it. Most of the super mutants and nightkins in New Vegas (Lily / Kin / Davidson / Ronda / Tavisa / Marcus...) are from Unity. The Master(not super mutant, but radioactively transformed creature) has a plan to transform all humans into mutant, but was destroyed by the Vault dweller.

Nightkin is also created by Master.

▶Marcus

Auto-doc
Autodocs first appeared in Fallout 2's San Francisco and Vault City.

BB gun

With the 'Wild Wasteland' trait, player can find a place called 'Jimmy's Well'. It is located northeast of New Vegas. It's right front of Field's shack.

Rex tells players to go into the well. when they're near the location.

Inside the well, there's the remains of what appears to be a child, and a Abilene Kid LE BB gun.

This gun is an hommage to a Fallout 2 quest. In Modoc, a town appears in Fallout 2, an NPC named Balthas asks player to find his son, Johnny, because he's missing.

After climb down into the well in the center of Modoc, and players can find a BB gun with the name Johnny on it.

Bozar

The unique weapon of the Gun runners, Bozar is the weapon of fallout 2. It is also included the "Revenge of Vault 13" achievement.

Crashed Vertibird

The Vertibird, crashed by Daisy, an Enclave pilot, can be found in an area within the town of Klamath in Fallout 2.

The sword that Lily is using was also looted from the same vertibird.

Highwayman

One of the locations in the Mojave, "Highwayman Wreckage," has a wrecked car abandoned.

Highwayman is the name of the car driven by the Chosen one in Fallout 2. Smitty in Den will fix it up if the player bring him $2000 and a fuel cell controller.

The micro fusion cells rooted in the trunk are the Highwayman's fuel in Fallout 2.

▶Parking lot near the NCR
Smitty Special
▶Smitty Special

The plasma caster in New Vegas called Smitty Special is a weapon of Fallout 1. Smitty is a blacksmith in the Boneyard. He can modify a plasma caster to turn it into a turbo plasma caster with a -1 AP cost as a reward for quest.

▶Upgraded plasma caster
That gun

That gun can be looted in Novac is the 223 Pistol, which is common to Fallout 1 and 2 (it was changed to 5.56mm in New Vegas because the same round was not available in New Vegas). In 1, players get it as a reward for helping Irwin in the Hub. It's a modified rifle, so it has the highest firepower of the pistols. It is included the "Revenge of Vault 13" achievement because it's the weapon of Fallout 1. As an aside, Twig, the protagonist of the New Vegas fan film Nuka Break, also uses this weapon.
