Dark and Darker is a PvPvE hardcore dungeon crawl. It features punishing and challenging combat, randomized loot, and an extraction mechanic similar to Escape from Tarkov and Marauders.

Key Differences for Conan Players
- You find gear, rather than craft it
- Not all items are made equal; one Iron Short Sword is not necessarily identical to another, as items found in the dungeon have stats that can vary from their base values
- You don't assign attributes or spend feat points
- There's no base-building or world exploration; this is a dungeon crawl!
- There's no cosmetics or RP features outside of your weapons and armor; this is not a roleplay experience

Key Differences for Dark and Darker Players
- Combat is much faster-paced than in Dark and Darker
- There are no class restrictions; you have skill traits that improve over time based on your style of gameplay
- Your character inventory is weight-based, rather than slot based
- Extraction locations are not randomized
- You'll occasionally need food and water

This is a player-versus-player-versus-environment dungeon delving experience, where you will battle other players and the denizens of the dungeon in order to find better loot, fight powerful bosses, and proceed deeper into the depths. Join up to two other players and challenge the dungeon as a team, or dare to go alone and light your own way forward.
