Terror from the Void (TFTV)

Terror from the Void is an overhaul mod for Phoenix Point.

REQUIRES ALL DLC

COMPATIBLE WITH SAVES FROM OPEN BETA

DO NOT USE BETTER ENEMIES OR BETTER VEHICLES AS BOTH ARE ALREADY INTEGRATED IN THE MOD.

Installation

- Click “Subscribe”.
- Run the game from your Steam Library, choosing the option “with mods”.
- In the Title page go to the Mods tab, and activate TFTV.

Common issues and how to solve them

- No Mods tab in Title page: run the game from your Steam Library, not a shortcut. If you have previously used Modnix, make sure it is reverted (run Modnix and click “Revert”).
- Error message on activating TFTV: exit the game to desktop and launch it again.
- Mod not updating after a new release: exit Steam and then launch it again.

Features

- A complete reworking of the Phoenix Point campaign, with new characters, story, events and reports, and integrated and rationalised in-game lore, including a revamped Oneiric Delirium from the original release. Written by and for sci-fi horror fans!
- Completely redesigned classes, focusing on sharply defined fighting roles and strong class identities, and on removing and rebalancing overpowered synergies from the vanilla classes.
- Fight the nightmarish doubles and replicas of your deceased comrades! Revenants are special Pandoran combat forms invested with the mutilated consciousness of your fallen heroes – they will hunt you relentlessly over the course of your campaign!
- Modular campaign settings, with both very easy and nightmarishly difficult settings, and more than 20 toggles that allow you to fine tune your playthrough to your liking.

- Total rework of Kaos Engines; massively expanded marketplace that will now sell you faction research, rebalanced Kaos weaponry, and mercenary soldiers with unique gear and abilities! - All other DLCs have been rebalanced or reintegrated.
- A series of UI changes and QOL improvements - loadable soldier loadouts, helmet visibility toggles, and more!
- A reworked final mission, with new mechanics and access to unique support troops depending on your factional alliances.

ADVICE FOR NEW PLAYERS

We have added 2 additional difficulties: STORY MODE (super easy mode) and ETERMES (impossibly hard). We have also re-balanced the difficulties in between so that LEGEND is very hard, and ROOKIE is very easy. If you are familiar with the base game and have beaten it on any difficulty level, for a first playthrough of TFTV we recommend playing one difficulty level below that.

If you are new to Phoenix Point then, 1) welcome!, and 2) try playing on Rookie or Veteran.

You can also make for a more personalised difficulty setting by adjusting the different options on New Game start. Please note that while some options can be adjusted at any time in the Main Screen (Mods—>TFTV—>Settings), others can only be set when starting a new game.

THIRD PARTY MODS AND LOCALISATIONS

TFTV is NOT COMPATIBLE with 3rd party mods; some of them will work, some won’t, sometimes it is possible to know if they do, sometimes it is not.

is the perk "you are etermes" with PP taking 25% more damage coming from playing on the higher difficulties? and is there a damage reduction to enemy's on the higher difficulty's as well? had 1 bullet of independent auto rifle do same damage vs my PP sniper rifle shot. If so will adjust difficulty a different way... fun mod liking most of the changes so far 15 days in game ATM

@ImJonesinHard this is intended; PP (and TFTV doesn't change this) allow bringing multiple aircraft to the same mission; you can, for example, bring 2 helios and have 10 operatives to deploy, but you will still be limited to deploying less than that in most missions. Similarly, you can have up to 12 operatives in a Blimp with a passenger module, but you will not be able to deploy of them. What's the advantage? More options when deploying, and higher resilience of the squad; you may have wounded/tired operatives, but still be able to field a full squad. Finally, there are also ambushes, and those missions don't have any limits on deployment.

@Deadput Interesting, I think you are the first player to bring it up (I could be mistaken; there are some issues with helmets toggle, like the game not remembering the setting, and those get mentioned every once in a while). But I will give a thought as to how it could be done.

I was actually wondering about the helmet thing, not sure if others have requested such a feature or if it's even possible to implement (if not, no worries) but I know that at the least I would love to enable or disable helmets for specific characters. In the meantime I've left them enabled in my run but I would certainly appreciate it as an option in a future update.

It's a matter of some helmets looking better than others or how I like some soldiers to show their face or some to wear a helmet depending on my head-canon for my characters.
