If you still have problems, or run into any bugs, please visit our Discord!

Features

- A complete reworking of the Phoenix Point campaign, with new characters, story, events and reports, and integrated and rationalised in-game lore, including a revamped Oneiric Delirium from the original release. Written by and for sci-fi horror fans!
- Completely redesigned classes, focusing on sharply defined fighting roles and strong class identities, and on removing and rebalancing overpowered synergies from the vanilla classes.
- Fight the nightmarish doubles and replicas of your deceased comrades! Revenants are special Pandoran combat forms invested with the mutilated consciousness of your fallen heroes – they will hunt you relentlessly over the course of your campaign!
- Modular campaign settings, with both very easy and nightmarishly difficult settings, and more than 20 toggles that allow you to fine tune your playthrough to your liking.
- Total rework of Legacy of the Ancients; redesigned missions, automata, and ancient weapons, with unique mechanics and reworked lore integration.
- Total rework of Kaos Engines; massively expanded marketplace that will now sell you faction research, rebalanced Kaos weaponry, and mercenary soldiers with unique gear and abilities! Vehicles and modules have undergone an extensive redesign, with a focus on expanding and specialising their roles over the course of a campaign.
- All other DLCs have been rebalanced or reintegrated.
- A series of UI changes and QOL improvements - loadable soldier loadouts, helmet visibility toggles, and more!
- A reworked final mission, with new mechanics and access to unique support troops depending on your factional alliances.
- Void Omens! Semi-randomised modifiers to your strategic campaign, that represent humanity’s slide into a waking nightmare.
- AI fixes, a stealth overhaul, over 50 vanilla bug fixes, and many, many more features. TERROR FROM THE VOID is a true reimagining of the vanilla experience from the ground up, made by fans who love Phoenix Point.

ADVICE FOR NEW PLAYERS

We have added 2 additional difficulties: STORY MODE (super easy mode) and ETERMES (impossibly hard). We have also re-balanced the difficulties in between so that LEGEND is very hard, and ROOKIE is very easy. If you are familiar with the base game and have beaten it on any difficulty level, for a first playthrough of TFTV we recommend playing one difficulty level below that.

If you are new to Phoenix Point then, 1) welcome!, and 2) try playing on Rookie or Veteran.

You can also make for a more personalised difficulty setting by adjusting the different options on New Game start. Please note that while some options can be adjusted at any time in the Main Screen (Mods—>TFTV—>Settings), others can only be set when starting a new game.

Please join our Discord to share and learn tactics, give feedback or submit bug-reports.

THIRD PARTY MODS AND LOCALISATIONS

TFTV is NOT COMPATIBLE with 3rd party mods; some of them will work, some won’t, sometimes it is possible to know if they do, sometimes it is not.

If you want to ensure that your mod is going to be compatible with TFTV, you can check our source code on GitHub (link above) and/or contact us on Discord (link above) if you need any help.

Similarly, if you did a localisation for TFTV that you want to share, please also come over to our Discord and let us know about it so we can include it.

@[UA] Schizoslav I kind of disagree. They should not need to play Vanilla. Instead play TFTV on a lower than usual difficulty. There is no shame in doing that.
I remember one haven defense mission vs Pandorans: night mission, 5 or so stealthed Sniper Rifle Tritons spread across the map with melee Arthrons in front. That was hell. That was Vanilla, maybe 2-3 years ago when there where way more enemies than now.
Fun fact: on Etermes one of the reinforcements spawn with 4, fully useable AP. Now imagine that this one is a Sniper who spawned in a previously cleared area. You have to take this possibility into account.
Have you ever played the mission The Real Virus (Synedrion Terraformer’s mission to be allied)? There you indeed spawn in the open without cover nearby and you are facing a horde of enemies including Snipers and Spider Drones. That’s Vanilla.

This is supposed to be a hardcore mod for those who like extra challenge. If it's too difficult - simply play vanilla.

I'm playing on Hero and I don't find human enemies to be overpowered, a few good grenades are usually enough to deal w/ anyone. Yes, operatives get picked off by snipers from the other side of the map. That's what snipers do. I don't remember a situation where I didn't have at least one decent cover option at the start of the mission, but maybe that's because I have a vehicle in almost every squad. Don't just rush in, look for defensible positions to hold out the enemy on, and bring lots of grenades on every mission.

Also, suffering losses (A team included) is part of the game, I don't understand why there should be an invincible squad of marvel superheroes in sci-fi horror setting. Then again, you better off just playing vanilla.

“Normal“ difficulty is a Vanilla naming. TFTV has: Story Mode, Rookie, Veteran, Hero, Legend, Etermes. Do you mean Veteran?
IMHO staying ahead of the enemy’s progress is name of the game of PP and thus TFTV.
May I ask what is your date for trying Second Initiation? This is by far the most difficult 2nd faction mission. This is well known.
IMHO rushing the game = victory mid February. If I want to have everything I will play till mid March.
Re Saving Helena: IMHO it is part of the game to decide which missions are worthwhile. The last time I did this mission was in Vanilla.
In general, yes: human enemies can be a challenge.

The " Saving Helena " mission , holy hell, that's some A grade BS over powered fight , my guys are like level 5, Just unlocked Gauss guns, pawned in the open by sniper fire , there is no full cover or walls anywhere in range.
IMHO , normal difficulty should be chill and enjoyable
I played your Terror about a year ago and it was great, I came back to try it again but I hate this, sorry but I really do and that's just on Normal difficulty
nzguzzi Jul 25 @ 1:48am
Sorry but so unbalanced on normal difficulty
Too many enemy , many maps with human enemy 13+ against my 9, enemy better weapons and armour and skills
I start in the open, no cover, enemy in buildings with 4 snipers doing 80% damage a shot to my head one end of the map to the other.
Sorry but you need to chill the fk out on normal difficulty,
I don't want to have to rush the game to try stay ahead,
I dont want 13 enemy that close me out of completing the 2nd Anu faction mission
I dont want my A team getting pawned
The human enemies are BS over powered.

@mar.sch oh I don't disagree with that at all, I just think he gives the most straight forward and 'normal' approach to the game. He isn't playing 4d chess or going deep on mechanics, it's a very standard playthrough and closer to the typical experience many new players are likely to have with the game.

@mar.sh The tree shields in front of him that go down and go up

@MysteriousFawx Re: Pagan Horde: while it is a good thing to have lower difficulties YT videos his play style will surely kill him on higher difficulties very hard. Just saying.
If you disagree we can discuss on discord.

@Slaunyeh Re: which of the YE’s shields are up? At first it is RNG. Then after a successful hit it will change next turn.

@redxlaser15 Re: healing Mutoids mid mission.
Lvl. 3 Mutoid skill: Syphon Attack = 1 AP melee attack that heals 50 HP. Unlocked after Triton Autopsy.
Lvl. 5 Mutoid skill: Regeneration = restore 10 HP to all body parts each turn. Unlocked after Triton Autopsy.
Reaper (an Impossible Weapon) = vampiric melee strike (80 HP). Use a Mutoid Berserker for no fumble chance.
