You should be proud of your work, I checked out other stuff on your workshop n it looks cool.
What I'm wondering tho is if there's some ui button to switch between cat mode n not cat mode.
In the simplest terms, the ability applies a hediff which then applies a flag to the comp that manages the abilities. Then a patch to the pawn renderer will check for the flag, and if it finds it, will render a cat instead of a pawn.
If you're looking to implement it yourself, I'd recommend looking at the protean ability from Rim of Madness - Vampires. as it is more versatile. Otherwise feel free to look into my code and see for yourself.
