Description
Good morning aviators, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to basic fighter maneuvers.

History

Launched in 1984, USS Theodore Roosevelt is the 4th Nimitz-class ship to be constructed, as well as 4th ship to bear the name of America's 26th President. Nicknamed "The Big Stick" after the real Roosevelt's policy, this ship is equipped to teeth, and has shown it's readiness to respond to threats just like the rest of US's nuclear-powered carrier fleet.

This particular ship, the CVN-71 is quite noteable in a lot of ways. First of all, it's the first ship of it's subclass and therefore has a lot of small changes and optimizations from the original USS Nimitz. It is also the first US carrier that had it's components built separately, and then was assembled at the shipyard like a Lego set. This technology has greatly simplified logistics, as well as decreased the time needed to build all subsequent US carriers.

In 2015/2019, during fleet excercises, a couple Super Hornets assigned to ship's air wing had encountered Unidentified Flying Objects. The videos of on-board infrared cameras have leaked to the public, which generated a lot of debates among the general public.

In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, ship was once again involved in a story. Because of the virus' outbreak aboard the ship, captain Brett Crozier decided to take action and went all out informing the high command in order to save as many of his sailors as he could. Unfortunately, Brett was relieved of command, because his actions were deemed "inapropriate". As a result of his actions, crew lost only one sailor, and the ship went back into service just a couple of months later. A true patriot and a humble hero, Brett Crozier retired the Navy in 2022 after 30 years of service.

And finally, USS Theodore Roosevelt took part in filming of the long awaited Top Gun: Maverick (2022).

    CREDITS:

Alright folks, that's it. This is my last model in Space Engineers. It has been quite a journey, and I appreciate everybody who has decided to stick with me over it's span. I've had a lot of fun with you, and I hope you did too. Inevitably, mistakes were made, but as the time goes by, they slowly but surely turn into distant, and even laughable, memories.

I love you all. Take care, and never loose that lovin' feeling!

    And happy 4th of July!

@NormalDavid Pretty much. Problem is, all these models are heavily tied to physics changes made by different water mods, and of course, water mod devs can never make up their goddamn minds on what they want. If anyone wants to waste their time trying to make this thing functional again - republish, and link this model in the description.

Even leveled to planet gravity at spawn, ship rolls over to the right and capsizes. Time is not kind to asymmetrical water borne blueprints.
