Proficiency Irregular Plugin: Harasser

Description
“Commander, Some of our more ‘risk tolerant’ recruits have been looking at these new faction weapons and think they could make use for them in combat. Their ideas seem good but dangerous. Hit hard and duck is their plan, not sure we will get to many volunteers” Jane Kelly

The harasser class uses the Vektor rifle and Ripjack. They specialise in single target damage and dodging return fire. They gain no health on promotion but instead get dodge. Their aim is high and have reasonable mobility, which is enhanced by the third survivalist line of perks. They benefit other team members with rifle skills that help subsequent attacks or inhibit retaliation meaning they can be most useful opening the attack. Due to the nature of soldier required for this style of combat they are less common than normal classes.

Irregular classes are class that don’t fit normal military combat but more an idea, ethos or personality. Due to this they are rarely received by promotion and cannot be trained in the GTS. They can be recruited through a covert infiltration mission chain, and you can only spawn if you have less than 2.
If you don’t worry you can still use it, just go to the XComClassData.ini file in the workshop folder and change NumInForcedDeck=0 to NumInForcedDeck=1 to guarantee 1 to be promoted and make them available in the GTS or NumInDeck=2 to NumInDeck= 4 to get normally levels of promotions.

That is the correct line iirc :)

I think I found it. In RPGO's XComRPG.ini, there is a line that says +WeaponsProficiencies = (AbilityName=Reckoning, UnlocksWeaponCategory=wristblade)

I commented it out and I'm going to see if that fixes it.

Thanks again.

Thanks Rusty. Do you happen to know if there is an ini file in RPGO I can go in and comment out the requirement? I'm using AML.

RPGO is your issue here. It has code that ties the ripjack to the skirmishes perk.
jacin Apr 22, 2024 @ 2:36pm
I'm unable to equip ripjacks with a message "Ability Reckoning Required." I recently installed Xmod Base Redux which was missing from my mods for some reason and this didn't fix the issue. So the Secondary Weapon Selection is empty in charactor pool, and with nothing selectable in game.

I'm also running RPGO. I'm not sure if that's the issue, and I removed a mod called Trainable Skirmisher's 2.0 that might have also been a conflict.

I've been using console commands to rebuild the character, but I can't seem to get around the requirement for the Reckoning ability.

Dies Irae, it's the "Execute" ability, available at Major rank.Description says "Your melee attacks deal triple damage against marked or holotargeted enemies". Holotargeting someone isn't really difficult with Proficiency Class Pack, so this ability feels a little bit too strong.

Also no wisdom was used to make this class.

Glad you like it.

Which skill gives 3x to marked targets? Been a while since I worked on the class.

Thank you for the awesome class! Really fum one, feels like a glass cannon zooming all around the place. I am however questioning the wisdom of that skill giving a whopping 3X multiplier on marked targets. This is certainly a very cool idea but 3X feels a tad too much? 1.5X maybe, 2X at most?
Don't get me wrong, I was really happy to deal 33 damage to Warlock with an Ionic Ripjack in a single hit but won't somebody think of the Chosen?
