Description
What says Summer fun and sunshine quite like warfare and lead filled shores!





THEME
Deserts and War-zones are a dime a dozen, but how many times have you fought on a scenic beach? Don't answer that actually.

Shorelight provides a fresh yet familiar take on TF2s aesthetic, with great care taken to ensure the colors fit, and the buildings match. Shorelight takes place on a seaside facility, with many towels and parasols placed ready to soak up the sun, and distract from the Rocket hidden inside the iconic Lighthouse!





GAMEPLAY
A wide and varied layout provides loads of gameplay opportunities for any class and any player, tons of pathways balanced sightlines and open spaces ensure everybody finds their place. Shorelight is less focused on the objective than other KotH maps, encouraging deathmatch style gameplay that still has a central objective to hook everybody together!

This is the best KOTH map I've ever played, it feels so comfortable and cozy. Doesn't have any problematic and anxiety-enducing long sniper sightlines and is pretty. It has to be added to the game period.

because the map has SHORE in the name and the theme of the map is perfect for the offshore update, you should definitely consider making this part of the offshore project

I'd recommend slapping an Offshore tag on this. This map is so overdue an official release.

> re-did beam-work across the entire map!
- previous support structures looked unrealistic inconsistent and noisy, the new beams follow a consistent pattern I've used in other maps, are less noisy and more robust.
> new beam textures on the blue side
> improved radial fog support
> made doorways bigger in some areas
> replaced all soundscapes on the map with soundscape proxies for more efficient entity usage
> improved indoor lighting
> raised all pickups by 16hu, so they're easier to spot and consistent with newer maps of mine
> re-aligned the sun, again.

Should've added this map instead of Megaton, far better design both aesthetically and gameplay wise.

I'm still planning on updating this map even more, since it was one of my first projects to reach completion, there's still a few bits I'm not happy with, at this rate ill never be done with it...
