Everything you remember and more. Mateusz Skutnik is an absolute savant when it came to flash games, especially point and click games, and the same love and effort transferred over to Submachine Legacy. Years in the making, this collection delivers and I absolutely recommend it to others. It takes all 10 games and forms it into a cohesive narrative and also allows you to revisit older areas later on. Now why would you want to do that? Aren't these all their own experiences? Well yes, but as you play through the games you start to notice some changes that seem to be hinting at something even larger than the compilation that's Submachine 10. Every game is here, even all the side games, and a new game, Shattered Quadrant, combines this and Submachine Universe to solve a bigger objective. There are some Quality of life changes implemented throughout the game. Some puzzles were changed, especially in the first 2 games, the secrets system was revamped and all the sound effects are new and different. Mateusz even patched a particularly obnoxious puzzle from Submachine 10 that makes it MUCH more playable than the original implementation. My only real gripe with the game is just wishing there was an option to turn on old sound effects, so I could scratch that nostalgia itch even more, but that's so minor it's almost not worth mentioning. If you've played these games, there's enough fresh new material in this to keep you occupied, and if you're new to the series, play it. Submachine was one of the most "balanced" puzzle games from the flash days (in terms of not having asinine Sierra-esque nonsense puzzles) and definitely leaves you with a sense of wonder from beginning to end. This is one of the post polished Point and Click games you'll ever play, period.
