Description


Millennium Dawn Military Rebalance tries to completly revamp the balance behind the official Millenium Dawn, looking more specifically into warfare, currently the mod is still WiP, meaning that I would be more than happy if you could propose ideas and critics.

Looking into warfare, a lot of things are very unbalanced, i adress some issues i've found on my own (it's still very hypothetical).

Here's a list of what has been made so far :
Land Army :
- Heavy equipment cost is slightly increased (Tank x1.5 IC)
- Less XP to design divisions (1 for battalions, 2 for support companies)
- Rebalance transport helicopters (less speed, make it a low org, low HP but high damages unit, less defence)
- Equipment changes (APCs light attack increased + early techs get more defence, more light attack for light tanks...)
- You now require 2x more MANPADs and ATGMs in most units (will increased damages though)
- Rebalanced upgrades (More stats changes, worth it)
- Anti-Air Huge Buff (In divisions, you shouldn't struggle against planes even with good AA in your divisions)
- Lowest speed reduced to 4 km/h from 8
- Planning was restored to 30% base value from 10%
- Maximum Dig in changed to 15 from 20
- Terrain attack & defence debuffs returned to vanilla values (not movement and air support, urban was unchanged)
- River crossing penalty changed to 2/3 of vanilla values from 1/2 (basically nerfed)
- Out of fuel speed changed to 40% from 70% (return to vanilla value)

Airforce :
- UAVs air attack was reduced
- Greatly reduce CAS damage overrall (divided by 2)
- Reduce Strat bombing damages (divided by 2)
- remove useless stats on certain planes (for exemple naval attack on AS fighter)
- Rework plane missions (tactical bombing won't be available on MR and Light Strikers)

Technologies :
- Rebalance efficiency cap. (vanilla total is 80% from technologies, dropped to 28%, some replaced with bombing protection, missing material efficiency and refit speed)
- Railway technologies after year 2000 will give +5% supply range for each researched

Country :
- You get efficiency cap based on your current military budget, +10% for each level, 100% in total for Total War.

A full document will be done with detailed changes and thoughts behind them when i'll consider the mod in a stable state.

What is planned in future updates :
- More impactful variants (fix missing upgrades and rebalance them, we should have 6 upgrades available for tanks, we only have 4, not actually implemented by the devs)
- Add a decision to scrap old equipment for short term production boost
- Complete land doctrines rework : more tactics and stat changes, along with changes among actual doctrines (actual doctrines are very negligeable appart from guerilla warfare)
- Better generic companies (instead of 1% bonus, 10%)
- New real design companies (or fictional ones that can be found by the player via decisions)

Compatibility :
- Version : 1.11.10
- Save : Not save compatible, do not try to continue a save with this mod enabled
- Other mod : As this mod changes a lot of files, i cannot guarantee that other mods will be 100% compatible

@Acteus, sorry but it's not planned right now, I've currently a lot to work on, and i consider this mod to be of secondary importance, yet i will try to update it to the current version, however i can't promise anything about crashes/bugs.

Yes it should completly work, normaly mods are compatible if the game didn't changed main version, meaning it is compatible with 1.11.*
