Description


THIS IS NOT A STAND ALONE MOD
Please follow the guides below to properly install and play this mod.

Requirements
  • An up-to-date distribution of the .NET Framework (If you're on Windows 10, it is pre-installed).
  • A stable internet connection (You will presently experience the best application performance if situated in the EU).
  • No directory read/write restrictions on your Company of Heroes 2 Playback folder.

Install Guide
  1. Subscribe to this mod
  2. Visit our website[cohbattlegrounds.com] and download the installation client
  3. Follow the installation instructions
  4. You are all set up and ready to play

How To Play
  1. Launch Company of Heroes 2: Battlegrounds Mod Launcher
  2. Navigate to Company Builder, create/edit your company, and save it
  3. Navigate to Game Browser, host/join a lobby
  4. Set up your lobby to your preference or wait for the host to set the lobby up
  5. Click the Start Match button and wait for Company of Heroes 2 to launch (do NOT close the Company of Heroes 2: Battlegrounds Mod Launcher)
  6. Recreate your lobby (All settings must match to count as a valid match!)
  7. Make sure your Tunning Pack is set to CoH2: Battlegrounds and your Win Condition to Battlegrounds - Gamemode
  8. Playout your match
  9. Wait for match analysis

Features
The mod offers several new features to the game - as it completely overhauls the way an in-game match is played. The biggest feature of the mod is unit persistency. If a unit gains veterancy or picks up dropped weapons, they'll keep that level of veterancy or obtained item for the next match. If the unit is killed - they're lost forever. Adding an extra layer of strategy to the match. Is calling in a specific unit worth the risk?

  • New balance dynamics
  • New Soviet faction design
  • New Wehrmacht faction design

DISCLAIMER: ONLY the Soviet and the Wehrmacht factions are curently playable.

@Arvid Glad to hear you managed to get it to work. What you are experiencing is the expected behavior. The launcher will start CoH2 for you but will not create the game for you, you have to do that your self. While creating the custome game you have to set the tunning pack to CoH2: Battlegrounds and your Win Condition to Battlegrounds - Gamemode and then just hit play :)

Ok, I reinstalled the launcher.
So far it seems to be working.
Unfortunately, after starting CoH2, I get to the main menu and then nothing happens!
I don't think it should be like this, or do I have to do something else now?
(The log says "CoH2Launcher: Successfully detected a running instance of RelicCoH2.exe after 0.01s" at the end; otherwise no errors seen)
What I also don't understand is the sentence:
"Make sure your Tunning Pack is set to CoH2: Battlegrounds and your Win Condition to Battlegrounds - Gamemode"
Where can I see the "Win Condition"?

@Peacemen Yes, right now there are only 2 playable factions. The rest is planned and will come in future updates.

@Peacemen Yes, selected vehicles can tow support weapons like AT guns.

What do you mean about towing? Is it the same with coh3 tow trucks feature like towing AT guns? Im looking for mods that exactly do that since we will never get an update for that feature im just gonna put my hope in the community rather than buying coh3 at its current state.
