NEW UPDATE
All NPC Prefabs have been updated to utilize the full ranges of their weapons. No longer can you sit outside of 800m and safely plink away at them. They will fire back, so be prepared to fight!

Extended the ranges of vanilla block weapons, ammos, and the custom turret controllers. This will be incompatible with WeaponCore or any other mods that touch vanilla weapons

Gatling
Small grid Turret: 1200m
Large grid Turret: 1600m
Ammo range: 2000m

Autocannon
Small grid turret: 1500m
Ammo range: 2500m

Assault Cannon
Small grid turret: 2000m
Large grid turret: 3500m
Ammo range: 4500m

Artillery
Large grid turret: 5000m
Ammo range: 6000m

Missiles/Rockets
Small grid turret: 2500m
Large grid turret: 3000m
Ammo range: 4000m

Railgun
Small sabot range: 4500m
Large sabot range: 6000m

Custom Turret Controller
Small grid range: 2500m
Large grid range: 5000m


Incompatibilities:
Currently incompatible with Aerodynamic Physics. This is due to a bug that keen introduced in the latest update (22/04/28). When you fire a projectile while your grid is moving faster than the projectile speed, you run into the projectile, causing a CTD.

If you use Aerodynamics, the calculation for max trajectory is:

The greater of speed limits between small grid and large grid + Vanilla range - 100
The entire range is capped at vanilla range + 1400m

Example Scenario:
Gatling Ammo max trajectory is 800m. Small grid speed is set to 150m/s, Large grid set to 100m/s. Your max range for Gatling will be:

150m + 800 - 100 = 850m

Example 2
Gatling Ammo max trajectory is 800m. Small grid speed is set to 2000m/s, Large grid set to 100m/s. Your max range for Gatling will be:

1500 + 800 - 100 = 2200m

Fixed to add in the reskinned turrets. More importantly, NPC ships should now use the full range of turrets. Not sure about fixed weapons, though.

Hello Thanks for this fun mods.
couple of questions relative to it: Can some distances be rebalanced or is it fix range ?
Will the part for the NPC be implemented ?

We are playing with MSE and having the artillery firing at 5 km will give us some issues with the random NPC flying over the base and just giving artillery barrage to new players.

If the NPC grid blueprint are saved with setting modified max out, will it be sufficient to adapt their firing range ?

@Rabid Puma alright, thanks for trying! Btw I really appreciate this mod, it makes combat SOOO much more fun in Space Engineers! If you're able to get targeting to work at that range too, this mod'll become even more amazing.

Is there any way to be able to lock onto targets from longer than 2km? It's frustrating not being able to focus on one target unless you're within vanilla range.

Whatever you did to the vanilla NPC lock-on ranges I really appreciate, ever since I downloaded this mod I have been able to spawn NPCs much farther away and more reliably allowing me to fight much much larger fleets than before.
