St. Vith

Description
An important road and railway junction, St. Vith was fought over in the 1944 Battle of the Bulge during World War II. The United States Army defended the town against German assault for a few days, delaying the German attack plan, before eventually retreating. Once it was captured by German forces, the town was bombed by the US Air Force on 25 and 26 December 1944 and by RAF Bomber Command with 300 aircraft on the 26. St. Vith was largely destroyed during the ground battle and subsequent air attack. American forces retook the town on January 23, 1945.

Nice Map. It provided an opportunity for a long infantry battles at the start and my infantry were fighting with mere rifles long after I thought they would. The map provided some tough decisions on whether to buy the MG upgrade for the infantry squad or hold onto those munitions in case I needed a panzerfaust. Because of the size of the map, buildings also became much more important than I'd normally expect on a map. The map had a nice mix of terrain, perhaps only missing some elevation to mix things up. Buildings were perhaps a substitute for hills. I liked it. Please keep up the good work. :KneelingBow::Honored:
