Introduction
Fallout New Vegas is nearly 4 years old, and I'm well aware that the more hardcore of fans have already stumbled upon this weapon, especially since it is among the easiest of the unique items to find. However, I am a huge fan of the Fallout title, and decided I wanted to help some of you out. This is my second Steam guide, you can check out my first in the Fallout 3 community, titled Tranquility Lane Failsafe. Even if you already know everything about this weapon, but just happened to walk into my guide, please leave a rating and let me know what you thought. If this becomes something helpful, I'll continue the "series".

That being said, let's get started.
Obtaining the Weapon
The Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle can be obtained in a chest in The Sniper's Nest. The Sniper's Nest, on map, is directly left of Cottonwood Cove. In Game, you can fast travel to Cottonwood Cove, turn around, and begin walking up the road. The Sniper's Nest is slightly rightside the road, up the hill a ways. Once you make your way to The Sniper's Nest, you'll see the grey strongbox lying on the ground, next to a bed mat and some other containers. The strongbox has a Very Hard lock on it, so you will need a Lockpick skill of 100 to open the chest. After picking the lock, you can simply loot the rifle inside.

Feedback
As always, feedback, both positive and negative, help and encourage me to make more. Even if you knew how to find this weapon before reading my guide, I would appreciate your opinions.

I apologize if I made any gramatical errors or came out as unclear.

Thank you for reading.

By the way, the unique weapon in a cave near black mountain is Paledin Toaster, a unique shock fist. Try doing some pip-boy checking to know what "near" is, ya nub. Brokflower cave is far, not close. Enjoy Rous! :steammocking:

Bumper sword FTW

Sneak is definately the way to go, might I advise you put some into melee as well. The silenced weapons are kind of pathetic. Nothing more satisfying then taking out a room of enemies one by one with one hit of a sword.

JK47SOLDIER, i would feel bad cheating ;) Going with a sneak/lockpicking char anyway, so it will take a while, but i will get there :)

GaussTCD, if you really don't want to get your lockpick to 100, you can cheat the box open. Hit the tilde key,( it looks like this: ~) click on the box, and type "unlock" without the quotation marks. You should note that by doing this, achievements cannot be unlocked for that sit in, upon re-entering the game, they will work fine.

Hey Espeon, no it is not the Ratslayer. If this guide was made for the Ratslayer, it would be titled so. But since it is titled for the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle, it is made for the unique SNIPER RIFLE titled the GOBI CAMPAGIN SCOUT RIFLE! NOT RATSLATER

Hey Sollux Growly Captor, both of those details were mentioned.
