Removed temperature caps. Just make sure minimum and maximum temperatures make sense.

What it does
(Translated)
  1. This mod lets you customise your own permafrost winter experience through the sandbox variables.
  2. You can set the minimum and maximum temperature yourself in Celsius and you'll be able to decide how cold you want to be.
  3. The actual temperature might fluctuate a bit over the min-max boundaries. If you set maximum at 0C, you might get days where the temperature might reach 1C. You can cater for this by setting the maximum as -5C if you want a truly permafrost experience.
  4. You also have the option to enable permanent snowfall. This actually makes snowfall ALMOST permanent. But I like how Permanent Snowfall sounds.

Okay, third issue with this mod. I DO NOT EVEN HAVE IT ENABLED and yet SOMEHOW in my latest playthrough, in the middle of SUMMER, the temperature upon spawning is -55 with 20mph winds and a blizzard. HOW THE FUCK???

I have another issue with this mod. Even after starting a new game with edited temperature settings to be more forgiving, temps will still dip below -55 (F), even though i have it set to -40 (F) maximum, and when you add wind chill it's even worse. Furthermore, I DON'T have the never-ending snowfall option enabled, and yet for A MONTH STRAIGHT I have been in a constant blizzard with no end in sight. Shouldn't even be possible. I even have the upper temp limit set at 25 (F), yet NOT ONCE have i ever seen the temperature rise above -20 (F)

So I set the maximum temperature extremes to -5 and -70 degrees, not realizing that the temperature settings were in CELCIUS. Why? BECAUSE THIS IS AMERICA. So lo and behold, I cannot even step outside my RV, because the moment I do I'm blasted with -100 degrees Freedom (fahrenheit) and a -20 windchill, WHICH IS ABOUT AS COLD AS IT GETS IN ANTARCTICA, and within ten minutes, I freeze to death.

Guys, do not set the lower temperature extreme to be any lower than -50, trust me. You will die if you do.

Anyone know why Permafrost mod options are missing from server settings? I see the options fine in singleplayer, but when setting up a server I cannot customize it.

Works great in 2024 as of PZ version 41.78.16
Running alongside 50 other mods on a dedicated server with no conflicts whatsoever.

What are the "vanilla" settings for this mod? Like how hot is the hottest day allowed to get and how cold is the coldest day allowed to get in unmodded project zomboid?

I've personally had thunderstorms, and rain while using this mod. Never noticed anything strange myself.

Could this mod in any way affect the weather outside of changing the temperature? Our server that has been running for 20 days seems to never generate weather outside of dry and no wind and I am not sure if it's pure chance or if this mod is causing the climate to malfunction.

So i'm playing with the mod active, I had set -48 and +35 or something. Waiting for winter, summer days reached about 50 degrees lol. Then, using the "Change Sandbox settings" mod, mid-game, lower the values to about +25.I'm at August on that save now or September and days are getting slowly better with 25-35 max temp. Is it the mod made to work with 0 or less than that?

I'll make a new save in a moment and come back to report or delete this if it was my mistake...

Permanent snowfall might be broken but the temperature isn't.
