Dragonian Prime Race2.0

Description
Oh no, another fork of Dragonians? Well, yes. But actually no. Tormound is busy with real life, much like the original creator of Dragonians -was-. I've been asked by Tormound to take over updating/maintaining Prime, so here we are.

Excerpt from Explorer Laius' logs-

"Dragonians are xenohumans with traits reminiscent of Dragons, smaller in stature but quite strong. Their work speed is lower but they have surprisingly higher harvesting yields, are generally in a pleasant mood and don't mind roughing it for the most part. The 'prime' variants are more prone to using weaponry and technology than their older kin, and have little issue fitting into confiscated armour and clothing. Biologically, they produce hair that is similar to spider silk at a rapid pace, providing a strong textile, and can be uh..milked.. Their horns are sturdy enough to be used in combat along with a bite that can set targets ablaze, while said horns can be taken and used as material to either construct weapons or help fuel them. Most seem amicable enough, though some have a far nastier temperament, which coupled with the heavy weapons I've seen, make for a rather unpleasant experience."

It's been awhile since the last update huh? A few noteworthy changes, I've dropped 1.3. Sorry if you were in the middle of a really old save. I hope everyone enjoys the art change, though I know a lot of people are going to have differing opinions. I've built in support for Nals facial animations and the experimentals, I'll be adding more looks as time goes on. I'll be updating and adding apparel, currently the basic dress is the only one done, but it's masked. The scenarios should now start your pawns with the Dragonian xenotype, I suggest you give them good beds to deal with the sleep requirements. It's been so long I forget if I added in the Dragonian leather last update or not, but that should be there.

Currently known issues~
teenagers, children and babies are next on the chopping block for makeovers, I assume they're still janky as I left them.
There's a minor graphic error on the thin bodytype that shows up on darker skin.
Old apparel texture probably still floating off somewhere..

What's new~
minor fixes here and there that I haven't kept track of whatsoever ^.^

What's next~
-More bodytypes and addons, variants and facial animation variety
-apparel re-textures and support for apparel paper pattern (once i figure this out)
-New gear and re-tuning of old gears stats (including tail armour)
-Probably re-texture for weapons
-New weapons

What I need from you~
-patience
-some testing

If you look at the folders you'll see a lot of empty, unused ones. I've plans to accommodate certain mods or convert textures to match vanilla bodies (if given permission of course, if not ce la vie, less work for me)

As always, if you find an issue let me know in the comments, and enjoy your day!

If you think you'd like to throw some coins my way I've setup a Ko-Fi, in hopes of freeing up some of my time to actually get some work done on this.

For older/alternate textures check out:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2857068463&searchtext=dragonian specifically made for this mod I guess.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2490884382&searchtext=dragonian where the older textures came from, Beep is currently busy with life but posted newer art on discord, nowhere to get it on steam yet.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1955203404&searchtext=dragonian an alternate female body

You can make a texture pack if you like, but you'll have to either edit the xml or learn xpathing and make patches to change offsets/change tex paths.

I think the reason for genes is that you can pick and choose, for example I mix charmweaver and highmate genes or any genes I get really, I do this to make fun xenotypes, i think it would be cool to have a xenotype for Dragonians for that reason I guess.

Hi, is it possible to update to 1.5 please?
Vazrua  [author] Mar 1 @ 5:51pm
I don't see the point in making a bunch of genes to do what is already being done unless har implements mixed races. That aside, the hair styles can be worn by humans, just need to add them to whatever pool humans draw from to select hairstyles. Feel free to make the genes if you like though. And this isn't a no persay, feel free to give me your reasons why you want me to switch from using hediffs and comps that operate on the race level to genes that can fail to pass on.

Is there any chance we could get biotech genes for dragonians?
Wool, horns, hair, milk, etc.
Far as I can tell, these aren't available

That's also why i would prefer a xenotype-only version for the Dragonians, so it would play nice in those scenarios.

Oh? Then those events must take into account the factions basepawnkind which would explain why they were generating dragonians, in which case i'd say everything is working as intended if not how we'd expect. Perhaps we could use a patch to say, add in humans to the list for the faction and reduce the likelihood of dragonians being chosen for those events, but I haven't dabbled in making events yet so i'm not sure if that's the way to go about it.

Thank you for taking the time to look into it. :) I started a whole new game with the default crashlanding start, got some Dragonians by differing means and the pawn-generating events work as intended.

I think the only thing I can realistically do is a patch to disallow dragonians from having that xenotype, I'll try and peek at their quest that gives you a phytokin, I assume it only ensures that the pawn has the genes without regard to race. iirc the issue of forcing the dragonian xenotype onto new pawns was dealt with already, not sure why the pawn rolled dragonian though.
