Description
~ (KTTFDE) ~

⚑ This mod is fan-made continuation of [Kurin, The Three Tailed Fox]. I do not own (or claim to own) original resources of [Kurin, Three Tailed Fox] mod. Creators of [Kurin, Three Tailed Fox] mod are shown on its workshop page. I wanted to play with kurins, and I made a lot of content for them.

KTTFDE offers:
  • The Kurin species, evolved, but untamed. Original kurins were created by Dalrae and Kuro (and others)
  • Hi-resolution textures. Textures of KTTFDE are 512x512. DDS-textures support included for some textures
  • Facial animations that are similar to animations of original mod
  • Animated tails and ears
  • Kimiri species
  • Lilin animals
  • 1 kurin IFV; 1 kurin LTV, 1 kurin heavy duty truck, 1 kurin missile carrier, 1 kurin power armor, 2 kurin VTOLs, 2 kurin shuttles, 3 kurin Titans. Optional, if you use [Vehicle Framework]
  • 2 kurin shuttles. Optional, if you use [SRTS Expanded]
  • 2 kurin storytellers. Minji Mirthful, Jinho Jingoistic. Both have high desired population, high event appearance rate, but Jinho is a little bit harder
  • Kurin walkthrough that leads to kurin ending
  • Kurin reputation system
  • Feature to request various stuff from kurin NPC faction with a communication console, for example kurin shuttle traders or even new colonists
  • High-tech production buildings - kurin fabricators
  • An optional name generator for kurins
  • New kurin backstories and lore (very interesting (no))
  • Noose trap from 1.0 kurin mod; a cake; a KuriSoda; kurin posters; etc
  • 22+ new kurin clothes
  • 16 new kurin weapons
  • 2 new kurin haircuts

~ (Details) ~

Kurin personality in KTTFDE is about 4 skill focuses: mining, talking, mind, agility.
  • "Mining focus" is from dens of foxes, foxes dig dens, bury food, etc
  • "Talking focus" is from fox charm, many nations describe them in tales as cunning and talkative, also foxes have so-called society, complex and funny.
  • "Mind focus" is from smartness of foxes
  • "Agility focus" is from agility of foxes

⚑ KTTFDE has integrated compatibility with Combat Extended (1.4~1.5).
⚑ KTTFDE has integrated compatibility with Ideology, Biotech and Royalty DLCs. Kurins have their own culture, their own mechanoids, their own xenotype (actually kurinkind is not humankind, but another species, but okay). Also kurins have their own royal/noble/psychic apparel. (1.4~1.5)
⚑ Lilins were genetically engineered by kurins. They are horse-sized three-tailed foxes. The strength of a horse, the power of a warg, the devotion of a dog.
⚑ Kimiris were made in kurin project of super-soldier creation, they are Astartes of kurinkind.
⚑ Kurins of KTTFDE have two genders (original kurin mod had only females).

~ (Usage Guide) ~

⚑ In settings of the mod you may find some useful options: change appearance of kurin eyes, see the update log, and more.

Harmony is required.

⚑ This mod should not be used together with Kurin HAR Edition.

⚑ With [NL] Apparel Paper Pattern some vanilla clothes of OnSkin and Shell categories are starting to look pleasant on kurins and kimiris. (1.4~1.5)

⚑ You may use any of Hats Display Selection or [KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats or Dubs Apparel Tweaks to have right hats rendering. However, you should not use Hats Display Selection together with [NL] Facial Animation - WIP, because kurin tails and ears just disappear.

⚑ Tips about using KTTFDE with [Dubs Apparel Tweaks] mod. Enable "Show hair under hats" and if you have facial animation mod on - "Alternate hair draw mode (for conflicts)" in its mod settings. Also set "Hair layer offset" to -0.001. Also don't forget to place Dubs Apparel Tweaks AFTER Facial Animation mod in the mod list, if you use it as well.

Anko072, i will look into it; btw I encourage you to use kurin reception camps for disposing of unwanted colonists, that's what they were created for.

ThatFawker, af the first look I was thinking about the issue with a patch, however, it's not the case. You see, the "genotype" of a kurin is a depiction of a different structure of kurin DNA, it's not a gene but an image of whole kurin genes structure. As much as a kurin is not a human, they are different species, once a hoooooman gets the genotype, they cannot breed with other vanilla hooooman, because they were ascended to kurin level. There is no turning back after you changed you entire DNA, thus there is no problem in the case, not a bug, but a feature. Oh, you can disable the restriction in the setting by the way. :DaughterConfused:

For some reason, with this mod enabled, my colonists can't reproduce. I was able to single out this mod causing this. I'm assuming there might be an incompatibility with my mod list and this one or just a recent update. They worked fine back then a few months ago, until I returned to rimworld recently. I'm assuming an update with it has caused in incompatibility with my old mod list, vice versa if there's a mod that's now incompatible with Kurins. Later after a little mix and match with the genetics, any kurin or kimiri genotype on my human prevents them from reproducing. on the social bar, it states "Pregnancy is not possible, male human can not reproduce with female human". Thank you for your continued work.

I tried to return enslaved kid directly to a settlement from a slave caravan. Originally if you sell slave to it's own faction they should be able to buy it as a ransom or you can just give it for free as a gift without ideo slavery restrictions. But kurin faction doesn't take even their own kin. Although I am not 100% sure it's not affected by one of my mods(It shouldn't but you never know for sure)

Anko072, I do not get what you are trying to do. Are you trying to sell them to a kurin settlement? As much as I remember they don't have tags to buy them, I guess?

Kurin faction not willing to buy(ransom) enslaved kurins back, even for free. Had to emancipate kid 2 tiles away on a dangerous map and wait till she gets out of the map by herself.

Failed to find any textures at Kurin/HumanApparel/Ancient_Jacket/Texture_Hulk while constructing Multi(initPath=Kurin/HumanApparel/Ancient_Jacket/Texture_Hulk, color=RGBA(1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000), colorTwo=RGBA(1.000, 1.000, 1.000, 1.000))

There should be Attackers using this garment have appeared, but there are no accompanying documents.

ゆきんこ, excuse me? I haven't updated my mod for 2 months, then I dropped the update and made a bunch of fixes to it, the fixes did not touch the in-game displayed text like at all, they are about the code. Also you can find the notes in the mod's settings, so, I hope you understand the situation better now. May Kumiho guide your delusional soul.
