Update of Jaxxas mod

- Removed the Core-requirement and included it in the mod instead since this mod seemed to be the only one that used it.
- You can now create Helixien Geysers if Vanilla Helixien Gas Expanded is loaded

As of 1.1 this now required EnhancedDevelopment Core to be installed.

Adds a Drilling Laser Targeting system that allows the creation or removal of steam vents. After research and construction, you will power the building while it conducts a subsurface scan. After the scan is complete, it can use a large amount of stored battery power to activate the laser of an orbiting satellite to drill or collapse a steam vent.


  • See if the the error persists if you just have this mod and its requirements active.
  • If not, try adding your other mods until it happens again.
  • Post your error-log using HugsLib or the standalone Uploader and command Ctrl+F12
  • For best support, please use the Discord-channel for error-reporting.
  • Do not report errors by making a discussion-thread, I get no notification of that.

The original mod, before the v1.0 version, -had- to be placed over the spot that you made the vent, and the laserbeam destroyed the Laser Drill. After the scanning and laser satellite systme was added, the Building.Destroy_Vanish() still remained. I always thought it was a bug.

You are a star, Mlie, as always! :love: Thank you so much! I've added a pull request [github.com] to persist the drill after filling in a geyser (just needed the settings check).

Also, do you think it'd at all be worthwhile to have the filling work for either Steam or Gas geysers, now that you support Vanilla Helixien Gas Expanded? That could be a balance-friendly way of removing them versus theirs which is just an immediate "removal". If you do decide to support that, I'd suggest disabling the "Fill geyser hole" context on the Gas geyser perhaps?

@Mlie: Thank you! It's just a bit strange, since the concept wouldn't make sense for it to just "poof" away. The balance is also there by being able to set the time it takes to charge up, it'd just need to restart the "scanning" sequence after use.

@Deadmano The original author probably balanced the mod mod around it being only usable once. But I can look into adding some option for that

Is the drill meant to just disappear the moment you create or collapse a vent? I find it a bit strange it can't be reused, since you're just storing energy then transferring it to a laser of an orbiting satellite to do the drilling. Any chance you could create an option to allow for the drill to remain after use?
