  • Hats Display Selection: Breaks pawn rendering by turning Mousekins wearing hooded cloaks invisible. Velc has been notified of the bug, but has not implemented a fix at the time of writing.

@bonzailvsu - I'm also unfamiliar with the Rakkle race mod myself. All I know is that it's a Korean anime snake girl mod, that Steam flags as containing nudity and other sexually-suggestive content.

Aside from the fact that Mousekins have custom Mousekin bodies, I'm only using standard HAR functionality for the Mousekin's race apparel restrictions. It sounds like this Gene Tools (forked) mod doesn't know how to handle non-standard bodies other than vanilla and BBbody.

Im sorry i wasn't trying to be rude that is literally the title of the research mod I use that allows me to force a pawn to do research. The asterisks are in the title. I was thinking if I mentioned another mod I should use the title. It was midnight so it didn't occur to me that the title of it would come off as me swearing and not just the title.
Oh. I completely missed the glasses requirement. Thank you. I'm apparently just blind. Now I don't have to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
I'd had gene tools forked as a requirement for the mod Rakkle Gene.

@bonzailvsu - I've honestly never heard of the Gene Tools - Forked mod before, and it sounds like a rather niche mod that alters vanilla or Biotech DLC behavior in an unforeseen manner.

Some research projects require the Mousekin researcher to be wearing a special pair of (craftable) Mousekin Research Glasses, in order to conduct the research. This is clearly indicated in the description for the applicable projects.

In my WIP dev build on GitHub, I've added for the upcoming update an automatic sidebar alert that notifies players if their current selected project requires these glasses.

Finally, while I appreciate player feedback, I ask that you do so in a civil manner, and refrain from using vulgar phrases like "[my] ******* research mod".

Mousekin does not play well with gene tools forked. It causes them to not recognize clothing as able to be worn if they are in your colony. If you try to force them to wear something it will say the clothing does not fit mousekin bodies. Despite having Mousekin in its name.
.. now I just need to figure out what the other mod presumably causing the other issue I have is. For some reason no one not even a mousekin can do some of the research in their tree. For example I was able to research the first tier of clothing but when I tried the second they refused to research and I couldn't even direct them to research using the do your ******* research mod.

Ok Thank you for answering, and also ya makes sense for humans not to be able to build ratkin stuff. Cant wait to get my first Mouse Kin :3
sumghai  [author] Nov 28 @ 12:21pm
@The Rouge Fae - Yes, this mod includes a patch that does that, to reduce architect menu clutter when playing as human colonists. It's something the other mod's authors should have done themselves.

I should probably specify I am NOT using a mousekin start

Question just installed this mod and have Ratkin too all the Ratkin stuff just disappeared even from Dev mod do you know why this is? Do I need a RatKin to build Ratkin stuff now?

@Gman - The Grimalkin Dominion ( North Korean black cats ) faction is planned for a future update, and they will indeed be NPC enemies to the Mousekin player.
Gman Nov 26 @ 8:45pm
interesting looking mod, question. This "Grimalkin Domain' is that another faction included in this mod? If not, will it be available in the future as an enemy of the mousekin?
