Description

After WCW closed, Sting stayed out of the ring while waiting out his contract with AOL Time Warner.

He toured briefly with WWA before signing with TNA in 2003. His tenure with the company lasted over a decade and included a run with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and four TNA World Heavyweight Championship wins. He became the first person inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2012.

I was too young to know anything about copyright law back then, but it seems like things were a lot looser back then. At the same time, WCW was threatened with a law suit over Arachnaman only a few years earlier.

Yeah, me too.
I was a little toddler back in 1997, so I had no idea what wrestling was back then.
But now I wonder how did he managed to use the Crow gimmick without any copyright lawsuit or something from Brandon Lee's 1994 movie.

I have to say, back in 2011 I really enjoyed Joker Sting.
