And NEXT3 doesn't support Harmony 2, so do you want to use the bad-for-many reasons and not officially supported "alternative" harmony, or do you want the wealth of mods available to Harmony 2? Just use RON and download NEXT2 to replace in local copy in assets (like intersections, maps) if you need to and unsub later.
What you revere as activism are those challenging that your upload as not a new iteration of what was great and earth shattering for its time but rather a copy of the hard work of others. Labelling your upload as something in contention was me trying to be delicate in as few words as possible. I have since given you many and have no plans to exhaust either of us further.
To my chagrin standalone options are on here.
This guide is meant to offer an alternative to all of NExt. NExt 1&2 are no longer being supported by the original creators of which they are all alive and well, including the moderator whom I speak with often. They may be unresponsive for good reason. Several users prior to you had uploaded NExt roads as standalone options. They are not included in this collection either.
NExt was established well before Mass Transit and 'Roads' were introduced to the workshop. There is no need for a NExt3 or 4 etc today except those desperate to rescue their saves which they are only able to do because of preserving SteamIDs through the content manager. So stop drinking the Holy Water and don't take the high road. Confronting activism and passing the torch by eventually saying fuck it... Lmfao.
Sadly, Next2 accumulated a heavy load of activism, which I don't doubt is what drove sniggledigit away from the community.
Now, with Next3 it follows that the job is not only the maintenance of the software, but also confronting with the activism. It's a thankless job, keeping the trolls at bay, and without doubt eventually I'll say fuck it, and leave it to someone else to carry the torch (I'm hoping this will happen after CO's bankruptcy)
So, I don't understand why you say "upload in contention"? Do you object to my confronting the activism? Or is there something else you're referring to?
Copy paste of NExt2 and my friends' hard work. Upload in contention. Do not add to collection.
