Scripts Used

Notes
  • You may want to disable the automatic leveling script when initially clamping onto an object to lift as it can occasionally cause issues. To do this go to the third hotbar in the cockpit and press six. When you want to turn leveling back on, press seven.
  • If you can't turn the ship, stop and start the leveling script by going to the third hotbar in the cockpit and press six, then seven.

@Draithen Glad you like it mate! And yeah, the autoleveling can sometimes be odd, but I've found that generally it works well. It mostly has oddities when initially clamping onto something, I've found, and it's usually best to re-enable the script once you've got your cursor on the level horizon so it adjusts as little as possible.

I did try to have a nose crossing at the start, but either the antenna gets in the way or you'd get roasted by the H2 thrusters. I compromised by having you cross from underneath where you can enter the ship, and having you able to cross over at the rear of the ship as well.

Oh hey! I just took the Big Bird on a test ride. Feels like an old vehicle returning to base after a decade or two. Reminded me of that old Porsche ad with the tractor :)
Mine looks like straight out of the factory, yours look like being through years and years of work, repairs and refits. I like it!
It is nice to have the ship fully catwalked, I went half-ass on my design. However I miss being able to cross from one side to the other at the nose section of the ship.
Also, the auto-levelling is a bit wonky. Since I use the main thrusters to move the ship around when loaded, I preferred having it disabled during my test flight. (I use the Hydro thrusters for fine positioning and/or in space)
Payload visibility is much better though, I sacrificed a bit of that for compactness.
Keep up the good work!
