Atoll 'Oasis' - WaterWorld

"Nothing's free in Water World"

From the 1995 movie 'Water World', the floating Atoll is easily the most identifiable setting that appears on screen, being a key part of the story early on. In the novelisation the Atoll is actually named 'Oasis' and is one of many such unique floating structures that is home to survivors of 'The great deluge' that covered the Earth in water after the ice caps melted. What you see here is the most faithful reproduction I could manage, using large-grid blocks in a 1:1 scale.

Tavern & Trading post - Store block & Medical bay
Meeting Hall - central gathering point with seating
Desalination plant - oxygen & hydrogen production & storage
Gregor's Tower - large tower with spiral staircase and cryo bed
Organo Barge - Oxygen farms & elevated walk way, complete with hanging cage..
Armoury - weapon storage containers


Summary:

Using some excellent reference images and videos, including a short documentary covering the design and construction of the Atoll, I was able to create this fairly faithful replica that I do believe is my first actual 'base' that I've built. It is survival ready and fully Vanilla, and despite being designed for use with the Water mod, it could in principle be placed on an ice lake or flat area of desert in any fully Vanilla world- perfect for players who enjoy the Wastelands update and want a Mad Max style outpost to visit with their rovers. Either way this will be a fun addition to any world
where a base or outpost is desired- there is plenty of detail & features packed into the Atoll for players to explore.

Important note:

As noted, the Atoll itself is vanilla and requires no mods to function- perfect if you are already running a modded world with the water mod installed. If you aren't however and you wish to have a floating Atoll, then you will need to subscribe to the Water mod & Text hud API to fully appreciate this creation- I also highly recommend subscribing to the Water planet for a better experience ( no underwater trees & grass.... ). Everything you need is listed on the right under 'required items' if you aren't already subscribed.
