The Survivalist

Description
The Survivalist, a mutant hunter with powerful traps and explosives, makes his way to the Spire to investigate the strange people and monsters coming from it!

Featured mechanics include:

--Use your bow to keep your Distance from your foes to reduce incoming attack damage,

--Adapt to your situation with cards that affect close or long ranges specifically,


--Build up Mark upon your enemies and find cards to Activate it to deal big burst damage,

--Utilize many Traps that require you to fulfil certain conditions to activate them, with(mostly) powerful effects,

--Use your Mutant abilities to adapt to any situation your foes throw at you, at the cost of Injuries, or use them to take some advantage of the Status and Curse Cards you tend to generate off of your main Distance generators!!

In this mod there are:
69 Unique cards to discover(including all Versatile cards that are 3-in-1 cards, not including Complex Mutation’s variations)

7 unique relics exclusive to the Survivalist(not including the starter relic)

Unique Event text for the ‘Sensory Stone’ event


The Survivalist has to play very carefully; with low max HP, you have to be careful to keep your Distance or find less common Block generators in order to keep yourself going. There are a huge variety of playstyles with this character; focusing on Long Range sniping, weaving in and out of Close Range, and more! Experiment and find the ways to exploit his strengths and mitigate his weaknesses!

The art is currently WIP: the Traps and some of the commons are finalized, but it’s a long way to go before it’s fully complete there.

Art for the cards with art and character images is by PetalThorn!

When I downloaded this mod it makes every character immediately teleport to the right at the beginning of every combat, hopefully that can be fixed

(there was 1 line when it first crashed from minty spire mod, but after i unticked an option in that mod, it seemed only this mod was mentioned in the log)

hi i tried the mod and its pretty cool :)

i managed to get to 14 floors, but when i fought the thief and won, the game crashed (even after reloading). here is the full message in case it helps.

I haven't tried this character out yet, but has the supposed crash that katabatic mentioned back in February ("Mod crashes when clicking the 'Pray' option on the Wing Statue event.") been fixed?

A fun character so far! Lots of viable playstyles, from long range to mark to close range buffing to traps. Trying out a mark build and noticed that Flare Quiver's 4 extra mark doesn't get added to cards like Marked Shot and Flared Shot at the "lose HP equal to their mark" phase.

character feels a little under powered, which i actually enjoy. Has direction, refreshingly simple, nice mod feel appropriately challenged. Hazah for the silly art to, much better to have it than not; adds character. Thank you lots Randsom Shieldson

'Flare' misses the 'exhaust' keyword. Also, 70% damage reduction at long range is broken, lol. The heart does 0 damage. Overall, mark cards are on the strong side too.

i like the mark synergy, range is a little complicated but its fun, the lack of block cards makes sense with the weaken/range synergy but is a little annoying
