3PI Ticonderoga (CG-47) Guided Missile Cruiser

Descripción
Description

The 3PI Ticonderoga was a guided missile frigate of the U.S. Navy, a ship rapidly assembled by 3PI on Alluvion to aid in anti-piracy operations. She is the lead ship of her class, additionally being the first U.S. Naval ship featuring the AEGIS combat system. This ship is a functional replication of the USS Ticonderoga, with some restrictions made to ensure functionality and practicality of the craft. The ship is fully survival ready, provided that the various rotor based turrets are manufactured and a crane is used to place them on the ship. Loading the Mk 41 VLS is difficult using an airborne craft, usage of a crane to lower the missile in is recommended.

Layout

The ship has distributed systems to prevent destruction of command and control assets in a single hit. The classical bridge of the ship is mainly used for captaining the ship, with access to the General Quarters alarm. Directly below the bridge is the main command and control center, with the computer systems for the various sensors, and the fire control computers for the weapons on the ship. The primary fire control station is the console to the right of the stairwell to the bridge.

Down below the center is the intersection of various passageways to the rest of the ship, the main maintenance access hatch is directed forward, with two access points to crew berthing below. Opposite the maintenance hatch is the stairwell to the kitchen and dining areas. On either side of that are doors leading to the outer decks. Past the dining hall is the medical rooms and hospitals, and further past that is the main armory. Above the main armory is the cargo hold for helicopters. Above the kitchen and dining areas is the operations briefing room for amphibious assaults. RHIB access for emergency evacuation is accessible from the stairwell at the end of that room.

Sensors and Computers

AN/SPG-62 Fire Control Radar - Whip's LAMP Script

Which controls the firing of various missiles and identifying and tracking various targets.

AN/SPQ-9 Gun Fire Control Radar - Whip's AI Turret Slaving Script

Operates the 127 mm Mark 45 Mod 4 Artillery Piece, Phalanx CIWS Block 1B, and Mk 49 Missile Launcher on various close-in targets.

AN/SPS-49 Air Search Radar - Whip's Turret Based Radar

Tracks and displays airborne targets in the operations room, allowing for easy target identification, tracking, and deployment of weapon systems in conjunction with the AN/SPG-62 FCS to facilitate destruction of targets.

6 x RGM-84 Harpoon Anti-Ship Missiles
2 x Phalanx CIWS Block 1B
10 x 12.7mm Machine Gun
1 x Mk 29 Missile Launcher which fires
4 x RIM-7 Sea Sparrow

Notes

The water mod is required for obvious reasons. The OKI Grand Weapons bundle is included solely for the designator turrets, which are absolutely incredible for providing targeting information for the missiles. This ship CAN function without this mod, it will simply default to using Camera based detection and tracking which is in the forward facing direction of the ship. If wanted, the designator turrets on the two masts can be replaced by an interior turret for similar, albeit limited, targeting information.

Similarly, the plane parts mod is not required. The only usage of this mod is for of my Mk 29 Missile Launcher, which fires four RIM-117 Missiles, for aesthetic purposes and for structural stability, these missiles are wrapped in a thin wing layer, which makes the missiles look much better, but again it is not neccesary and the missiles will function properly without them.

Credits

This ship uses a lot of the basic systems and ideas in M4VRICK's Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer, I made this ship mainly to have a ship with similar capabilities, but with more missiles and weapons systems, as well as being more performance friendly. This ship is NOT an edited version of his, I referenced his design for some overall aspects of the ship, as he was able to absolutely nail the look of the destroyer overall. All of the launchers and weapons systems are completely original and are possible thanks only to Whiplash's amazing missile scripts.
