Description
This mod replaces the Soundtrack and menu music with the ones from Fallout 1 as requested by RogerSmith.

As you might have noticed, FE has its own main menu theme.
For this reason this soundtrack changes both versions of it.

For the soundtrack was splittet into 20 files with the release of FE and this one has less than 20 tracks, I added 5 empty track files (around 1 second without any sound) every 3 normal tracks files. This way you don't hear AoE tracks after the fallout ones before the fallout ones start to play from the beginning again.

-------------------------------------

If you want to customize your soundtrack, as you might have done with textures, here you get how the soundtrack works:

The game uses the folder Game\sound\music.

There it searches for the file xmusic1.mp3

If a mp3 ends, and there is a file with actual number + 1 like xmusic2.mp3 after playing xmusic1.mp3, than that one will be played next.

If there is no further file, or there is a gap between the actual files number and the next one, like xmusic1, xmusic2 and xmusic4, than it restarts with the first file.

Until now I don't know if there is a max number of soundtrack files that are used.

-------------------------------------

All my soundtracks will contain every single title in a seperate mp3 file, so you can easily delete or change a specific one, or change their order.

as a side note - my next mod manager version will enable you to combine multiple soundtrack mods - just need to add that you can check to also add the default one. :)

thank you

Yes, but only by uploading a seperate mod, for the aoe soundtrack files are all named with an ascending number with no gaps between numbers allowed, so instead of replacing the default files numbers, the files of this mod would need to be numbered following up after the default ones - which is problematic for RotR adds 3 new tracks and therefore the only way of doing a mod that works for people owning and not owning that dlc would be to still overwrite the RotR files.

Therefore it would be more easy if you created a local mod yourself that contains the files from this onne, just renamed so they fit your own installation.
Doing so automated instead of manually is also a feature that will soon return to my mod manager.

Would it be possible to make version that doesn't replace the original aoe soundtracks, that way you can hear both aoe and fallout music?

That's the plan, already working on fallout 2 + 3 as extension to this soundtrack. Just too little time and too many requests.^^

Nice! Can you make Fallout 1 & 2 combination pack? :3

Hmmm a pack sounds nice

I'll add it to my list of soundtrack requests.
As a standalone, or so you can use it together with this one (there will be the Fallout 2 soundtrack as an expansion to this one in some days too)?
