Vulture Class Recon Salvager

Description
The Vulture class is a drone carrying corvette that is often the first at the site of a new wreck.

In normal operations it flies ahead of a salvage force scouting out potential wrecks before the main fleet arrives.
Though it can be adapted for search and rescue operations, pod recovery and other tasks.

Its 3 crew use its load of utility drones to inspect the inside of hulks clearing any active defences and traps whilst checking for undamaged parts.

It carries a contingent of 5 drones but can be easily equipped with more with a simple retrofit.
The standard loadout consists of :
- 2 Armoured drones to defeat interior turrets
- 2 Mag-lock drones for manipulation of components and escape pod recovery
- 1 Support and repair drone to place beacons and project replacement drones for any lost.

A key feature of this ship is the interior access to almost all key components reducing the need for spacewalks in potentially risky areas.

Crew will often rotate in month long shifts which are made more bearable by the amenities provided in the habitation area and fully pressurised hull enabling time to be spent out of suits. An automated airlock system and bulkheads ensures the ship will not fully vent except in cases of catastrophic damage.
Though its not intended to be self sufficient but does have limited production ability should supplies run low.

It is not built for combat however it does carry light defensive weaponry to disable active turrets, destroy debris and open entrances for the drones.

This is an amazing ship!
Got so many decorative blocks and still is small and extremely functional!
Looking forward for more 😁

I went ahead took some shots and shared them. Thank you again for the awesome ship.

I'd like to second that, I'd love to see the modifications you made to the ship. And still can't wait for more from you, Torhill.

I'm glad that you've been able to use it and I'd love to see a screenshot of the modifications if you have one.

I just want to say, as someone who loves to play my space games as the kind of "Dirty Salvager", this ship has become my go-to. Its got the living space, the cramped-but-not-too-cramped feel, a cargo bay large enough for a couple crates scattered about. You either really outdid yourself or are incredibly creative, or both.
Also also, I went a little ham on a deep space retrofit. That frontal tube allowed for the installation of a couple ox tanks, and the positioning of the kit/conv junction above it allowed for the installation of a basic refinery.
Thank you again for this absolute beauty.

Glad to hear.
I've got a couple that are nearly done but its always that last bit of setting up scrips and groups that I get stuck on.

Worked like a charm, no bashing 4 necessary either, Thank you for the assistance! Again, I can't wait for another ship from you!

Thank you very much, I'll attempt that now

So the thing is the drone sticks out on the rotor head. To connect you basically have to move the drone right into the wall and press "4" repeatedly until it sticks

If I may, I can't for the life of me, figure out how to reattach the salvage drones onto the rotorlocks you're using as mag locks, am I doing something wrong? is there a specific way to go about it? I love the ship, I can't wait to see more from you, thanks!
