Cross-Genesis 1

This mod adds dinos from the Genesis simulation to other official maps, and unlocks Genesis Part 1 engrams on all ARKs.

Mod ID: 2024119790

  • Engrams added with Genesis update can be unlocked on any map.
  • Tekgrams added with Genesis update are unlocked automatically by default.
  • Dinos added with Genesis update now spawn on maps that use vanilla spawning group containers.
  • Nests and Eggs via a mechanic native to Magmasaurs: when nearby one of the predefined spots, Magmasaurs will spawn eggs (and a nest if necessary).
  • Get Ambergris from Astrocetus or by mining oil rocks (Mining Drill works best).
  • Wild Astrocetus are visible on any map.

  • I don't see any dinos: If this is an existing save file, you may need to control the population of other dinos in an area or the game won't spawn any more dinos. As an option other than massive virtual dino-genocide, you can try using DestroyWildDinos cheat.
  • Is the DLC needed: No, it's not.
  • Magmasaurs don't lay eggs: After a couple of them spawns, leave the area so they can enter stasis. Return to the area after some time (83 minutes?) and a nest will probably have spawned, with an egg.
  • What are the spawn codes for creatures: Only wild Magmasaurs are modified to include some fixes, their class names are given in the Configuration thread. For others, check the spawning codes on the official ARK Wiki hosted on Gamepedia[].
  • X-Creatures don't seem as powerful as on Genesis: That's right. They utilize map-wide multipliers with an opt-in mechanism, and those multipliers aren't set on other maps.
  • No Magmasaurs on The Island: You'll need to enable the custom spawners settings; check the configuration thread for that. This is unfortunately required as there is no way to target the volcano only.
  • I found a bug: I'd prefer if you'd create a thread in Discussions rather than write a comment, as it allows for a more organized way to track the problem.

  • Thanks for adding most of the spawns, translating the description to Spanish, and providing most source graphics for this page, Arle!
  • Thanks for challenging me with Ferox on Valguero mod, The Wayward Wolf!

Other mods
  • Cross-Genesis 2 (coming soon): Creatures & engrams from Genesis: Part 2 on any map.
  • Visible Astrocetus: wild Astrocetus visible anywhere. Included in CG.
  • Bloodstalker Nerf Reverted: brings back Bloody's old, overpowered Bio-Grapple range.

@Will-O Yes, most creatures appear on Aberration if this mod is installed.

Does this mod work on Aberration

Most of the variant creatures do not have unique tags. X-Rex's is therefore the same as Rex's.

@Alex Thank you, I will try DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag="LavaLizard",SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.1,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.01)

Where might I find the "Dino tags" for the other dinos added? Like the X-Rex, etx. I dont see it on the wiki page

@BravoXray DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers expects a dino name tag, not class name. Try LavaLizard.

Could someone please help me limit the spawns of Magmasaurs on Ragnarok? There's so many of them. I've tried this:DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag="Cherufe_Character_BP_NestFix_C",SpawnWeightMultiplier=0.1,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.01) but it hasnt seemed to help

Nests once spawned by the Magmasaur won't disappear if the mod is removed, but eggs will not spawn in them anymore.
You can use cheat DestroyAll CherufeNest_C to destroy them.
