Description
4 slot early game starter. $54k credits, 10k iron, and 3k titanium to construct. Crews a minimum of 2 engineers and 4 mechanics. Maximum crew capacity of 24. 2.4k hull HP.

If your starting sector contains a claimable asteroid, you should be able to construct this vessel before before venturing out into the galaxy.

Inspired by the USS Franklin from Into Darkness and the Federation frigates from the Star Fleet Battles board game.

Play tested on a veteran difficulty galaxy. 3 were constructed and 1 was lost to pirates. These served an important early game role when I was poor in both titanium and system upgrades.

Once those limitations were overcome, I upgraded the hull configuration to the Okinawa class frigate, which had more system slots and the power output to support them.
