Description
-- Welcome to The Seleucid War --

Map created by andi.

The Seleucid War was a conflict that resulted from the 'cold war' between the Seleucid Empire and the Roman Republic, a 'cold war' of creating alliances with various Greek city-states. This 'cold war' started with the alliance between Philip V, King of Macedon, and Antiochus III, Emperor of the Seleucid Empire, which was created with the purpose of splitting the lands of Egypt between themselves. This didn't end up happening, as Macedon found itself at war with the Roman Republic and their allies, Rhodos and Pergamon. The Seleucids managed to triumph over the Egyptians, yet were unable to aid their Macedonian allies in time. Now, Antiochus the Great wants to free Greece from the Romans, but without the aid of Macedon and the Achaean League, he is soundly defeated at the Battle of Thermopylae and must now flee back to Asia! Will the Seleucids be able to win this war or will they lose against the might of the Roman Republic?
